Blegh

Got distracted from the next Eggman's Notes story because the gay hedgehogs have infected my brain, so I started the next I Don't Mind Seeing Where This Goes story. I got 1,500 words in last night. Now I'm not really in the mood to write even though I was earlier when I was out of the house, so they're both just open, mocking me. Gonna try and finish the Eggman's Notes first, since it's closer to being done. We'll see if I can get anything done though.

Wow, how depressingly accurate. Even the website knows I'm anxious.

Also, this is more Fortune coded then real me coded. Sort of more who I want to be than who I am because I would not wear half that stuff in real life. Too self-conscious. Also don't have my hair dyed yet but would love to. Also never wear my glasses though I do have them, so that's not technically a lie. And the cat is the type I would love to have, not the type I currently own (which is black by the way and he a little sweetie). The Sonic is pretty appropriate though - I do have at least 25 different Sonic plushies about.

Anyway, have I rambled enough? Oop.

Progress Update

I've finished another chapter of I Live to Rule by the Sword, which was brought on by a piece of fanart I recently received. They did not want me to post it here so I am respecting their wishes but you can see it through a link at the end of the story on AO3 - please check it out it's really adorable!

I have also finally gotten back to a story for Eggman's Notes. It's probably not gonna be a long one but I do like it. The story involves one of my favourite Sonic traits. Honestly, kinda wish it was longer because of that but I don't want to force it to eb longer than it naturally ends up. Can't wait to share this one! Though I will have to because it's not ready yet. Boo, am I right?

Another Chapter Done

I've finished a chapter of Running on Steam. It took longer than it should have because I just can't focus at the moment. Most of it is quite slow but I do like the part at the end.

Not sure what I'm gonna work on next, I'll just have to see what jumps out at me. It's easier than trying to make myself write for a story that needs it. It happens when it happens at the moment.

This Exists Now

Why? I don't know. But, for now, my recent piece of writing is infecting my everything apparently, so I had to draw the Sonic from it. I never really described him in the piece but this is sorta what he looks like in my mind.

You know I like me a cloak.

As expected, immediately after colouring this, I hate it. But that's just how it goes.

Procrastination Has Hit...

And I think it has to do with stress. So, instead of writing what I'm supposed to be, I wrote this. And it's crap, so it's going here for now. Though I did work on this all day and did come up with a whole plot for it because... I don't know why. Got fixated on it for a while I guess. Might hate it tomorrow.

Thought about leaving some details out. But I might not ever use it, so I'll keep them in. If this ever becomes a real story, I'll strip the details out and you'll all have to pretend you never read them. Agreed?

This also may or may not be in a similar/same universe as another piece of writing I put up on here called I Don't Belong Here. Except, if this becomes a real story, one character in that old one will have to change. And so will the tense because I am really bad at first person and probably can't keep it up for a whole story.

Enjoy what ever this is (and please ignore the mistakes, this is barely edited):

“Hello, hedgehog.”

The blue hedgehog spun around, quills raised. Before him was a hawk with emerald green feathers. From a quick scan, Sonic determined the hawk to be someone of noble descent. Chest puffed out, he held his head high. Those feathers were preened and tidy, crest well maintained. In his sky-blue eyes, Sonic saw confidence – or perhaps that was arrogance – superiority, and the hawk carried himself with a general air of pride about him. That and the jewellery was a dead giveaway. All gold plated, maybe even solid, jewel-encrusted and flashy. Very flashy.

Yeah, this guy definitely thought he was hot shit. Though Sonic couldn’t ignore the possibility that he was simply a thief who liked to flaunt his earnings. Not that he could really judge if that was the case.

“Who are you?” Sonic asked cautiously.

The blue hedgehog took a step back, defences up. He didn’t have much of value on him, only one piece he would and could not part with. If the hawk was a thief, he might be a little disappointed. If he was a noble, then what the hell was he doing all the way out here? It just didn’t add up.

“I am Prince Jet,” the hawk said. “And I’ve come for a chat.”

Prince. Of Babylon, by the looks of him. Bizarre. What the fuck would a Prince want with him? This guy approached like he knew who he was, at least in passing. Which was alarming. But shouldn’t Prince Jet be a little… worried? The stupid hawk seemed to be alone. An incredibly risky and outright dangerous play, especially outside of his own territory. The Prince was asking for trouble. And at this point, Sonic was wondering if he genuinely wanted it too.

“Not interested.”

“Oh, but I’m afraid, I am,” Prince Jet intoned.

His ear flicked, picking up movement behind him. The Prince was not on his own. Sonic whirled around on his heel, cloak billowing out as he reached for the dagger at his hip. Quickly, he drew it, seeing the purple swallow step back and to the side, out of reach. The hedgehog advanced, swiping at her. He gasped when someone grabbed his hood from behind, pulling it down and jerking him back in one motion. Balance lost, he tried to find his footing before attempting to wrench his cloak away from the second attacker, to no avail. Whoever they were, they were strong. And now his chest was burning and the fabric was digging into his throat. Disoriented, Sonic threw his dagger in the air and caught it, blade facing down. Then he thrust it back blindly. But a massive hand clamped around his wrist and squeezed tightly. The hedgehog yelped and dropped his weapon. And now his arm was immobilised. And at a very uncomfortable angle.

Quills rattling, he thrashed, trying to free himself. The swallow swooped in and snatched up his dagger. Sonic growled but he felt ill. Within seconds, his hands became clammy in his gloves, throat dry. In the skirmish, the mobian behind him managed to catch his other hand, so he was fully restrained and at their mercy.

The hedgehog’s heart hammered against his ribcage. He went suddenly hot all over, skin itchy. His cloak had been released but Sonic didn’t feel much better. In fact, he felt worse.

Prince Jet held out his hand and the swallow handed the dagger over. He made a motion over to Sonic as he examined it. The swallow approached and Sonic hissed at her. Ignoring him, she began patting him down, presumably for more weapons, but he only had the one. She pressed her fingers into the side of his chest and he inhaled sharply. Narrowing her sapphire eyes, the swallow yanked his cloak up to gawk at the bandage around Sonic’s chest. Without even being able to see, he knew the wound had reopened. There would be red spotting the bandage by now, no doubt. The Prince rose a brow at the wrapping and returned his attention to the dagger.

“A remarkable weapon,” Prince Jet said. “Is it silver?”

Releasing his cloak once more, the swallow drifted back over to the prince. Sonic wanted to bite her as she went. He wasn’t fully sure where the urge came from but it might have had something to do with the fact he was restrained.

“It looks to me to have been crafted in the Empire,” she mused. “It’s old though. Not the current reign, that’s for sure.”

“Now where might someone such as yourself acquire a dagger like this?” the Prince asked.

Sonic huffed. He didn’t want to talk to these Babylonians. Like magpies, the lot of them, they were all drawn to shiny things. Commoner or noble, even Royalty couldn’t help themselves over there. And he knew right away that his dagger was as good as gone if he didn’t do something. He couldn’t stay here. If they truly knew who he was, they could turn him in. Or worse.

Prince Jet hummed.

“Then let’s try this: who is your benefactor?”

“I don’t have a benefactor,” Sonic spat.

The Prince narrowed his eyes. He didn’t seem convinced. Sonic glared right back, teeth bared. He decided, if he was going to bite anyone, it would definitely be the prim hawk.

“How about your name?” the hawk tried.

“You have no right to know it.”

The hawk looked him up and down. Sonic didn’t like it, didn’t like being scrutinised. Prince Jet passed the dagger back to the swallow and finally approached. As the hedgehog had suspected, he walked with that swagger reserved for rich assholes who knew they were above you. For those who thought they had already won and gotten what ever they had wanted. But if he could help it, he wouldn’t let the slimy Prince have anything.

“Now that’s interesting,” Prince Jet hummed. “You claim to have no benefactor and yet… I can’t help but think you must work under someone.”

“And how’d you reckon that?” Sonic huffed dryly.

Trustfully, he didn’t care. The hawk could think as he pleased.

“You spoke with your full chest but your words sounded rehearsed. Like you were told to say them.”

Sonic grit his teeth. He quickly struck back with his leg, catching his assailant in the stomach. They let him go and he pushed the Prince aside, making for the swallow who was still twiddling his dagger in her hands. He grabbed her wrist but was immediately pulled away and thrown to the floor. He hit his injured side and wheezed. Just his luck.

When he looked up, there was a golden blade in his face. Sonic pulled his ears back and growled. He still didn’t have his dagger back. But he could now see the massive albatross towering beside the Prince, grey feathers with a sour look plastered over his grim face. The one who had held him. The hedgehog wished he’d kicked harder. The albatross unsheathed a sword of his own, a behemoth with a wide, curved blade. Both swords were gilt, rubies and amethysts pocking the crossguard. He supposed the two were Babylon’s breed of Knight or perhaps some type of bodyguards. The swallow glowered at him, a calculating glint behind her eyes. The albatross just stared a hole through his fur, looking rather miffed.

“Not exactly what I had expected of the one they called Wind’s Judgement,” the Prince said, unamused. “But you’re wounded, aren’t you, hedgehog? Suppose it wasn’t smart provoking us when you’re off your game and outnumbered.”

Where had that nickname come from?

Sonic dropped his gaze to the floor briefly to think. There was no getting out of this. He knew he might die here. So he rose his eyes once again, defiantly. They wanted to bag a criminal, was that it? Or maybe the freaks wanted to skin him and use his unusual fur as a rug in their precious Palace. Great, just another way to be walked all over. So what difference did it really matter? Sonic would much rather go out with his head held high than grovelling to the likes of Royalty.

“Then do it,” he growled, moving his face closer to the swallow’s blade. “Kill me and be done with it, Royal scum.”

The hawk appeared surprised for a beat. Then he had the audacity to laugh. Sonic bristled. He detested being made fun of; it gave him a bitter taste at the back of his tongue. An old, festering resentment that he couldn’t quite shake. Was this a joke to the Prince?

“You misunderstand,” Prince Jet said. “I don’t mean to kill you; I’ve come to give you an offer.”

“Offer?” Sonic said flatly.

Settling back on his heels, the hedgehog ran a hand over his chest under his cloak to check the wound. It stung when he touched the layered bandage it but he had expected that. He left his hand there to apply a little pressure. And if it meant possibly getting his dagger back, he’d humour the Prince. For now. But he was already looking to leave, gaze drifting over the trees distractedly.

“You see, I’ve been having some… troubles recently. And I’d like to enlist your help.”

“Why me?”

“I’m sure you’d be pleased to know that most of the Kingdoms don’t know who you are or what you’ve done,” Prince Jet intoned. “But I do. I have sources everywhere, means to collect information. I know you killed the late King of Moebius. You snuck your way to King Scourge’s side, cosied up to him, won his trust and affections. And then one day, the servants found him bleeding out in his chambers, his beloved jester mysteriously missing.”

Sonic tensed. That was the gist of the story and he did wonder how the Prince had come upon that information. Sonic had tried to be very careful. The majority of the Castle had suspected an assassin from Soleanna had broken in to off the King – there had been a lot of tension between the two kingdoms at the time, so it was a safe assumption. Their jester had been caught in the crossfire and either kidnapped, in the case that the King was only supposed to be injured not killed, or had died too. No one had cared to look for the body. But Sonic had left his own blood at the scene. A mistake, possibly costly one, but no one had seemed to care or check. They probably thought he’d crawled away somewhere to die. But the accidental death of King Scourge during a kidnapping-ransom ploy had seemed to be the preferred theory from what he’d heard.

After all, he had gotten exceptionally close to the green hedgehog.

But what exactly did any of that have to do with this situation? Sonic didn’t really understand where this was going yet. So the Prince knew what happened but instead of telling someone or putting a bounty on his head, he was apparently going to do nothing with what he had learnt? Sonic seriously hoped whoever else apparently knew about it would keep their mouths shut too. King Scourge was not a very well liked King; he’d had enemies everywhere. But that didn’t mean people were fine with letting his killer run loose. It would mean his head no matter what kingdom he fled to if they found out. And then there would only be one place left to go.

And he didn’t want to go back there. Not yet. He knew he’d have to at some point but he’d rather wait to be dragged back there than go willingly. But they’d find him eventually.

They always did.

“Dressed as you were with all that paint, I don’t suppose anyone would bat an eye at you now,” the swallow said. “A scraggly, dirty traveller. But there’s only so much you can do to hide that fur of yours and someone was bound to see it at least once. A rare colour. It’s not hard to connect the dots when you know the details.”

“So what do you want from me?” Sonic asked impatiently.

He was getting tired of these birds regaling him with his own actions. He wanted them to get to the damn point already. Did they want to hire him as an assassin? Because they might have to go through someone else for that. The man would not give him up easily. And Sonic had many debts to pay, debts that were not even his.

“I couldn’t care less about that crass bastard, I assure you,” Prince jet huffed. “But hearing about it intrigued me.”

“And?”

“And I want you to help kill my father.”

The State of My Stories

It’s been a while since I made one of these posts. And, while I’ve been quietly working on stuff in the background during my break, I thought now was a good a time as any. Also, I might as well put it here: I should hopefully be returning to regular updates Wednesday. But I have a shitty few weeks ahead so I can't promise there will be two a week every time, I'll just have to see how I feel for each individual week at this point.

We'll have to take it as they come I'm afraid.

By the Blade, We Are Bound

The next chapter of this story is mostly ready. You will find me using that word a lot through this post: mostly/almost. The bulk of the chapter is done but it needs some serious editing. It’s sitting at 3,506 words but I’m not sure I like the length of the last chunk. So it might end up being a little longer than that.

Drifter

At 6,291 words, this is shaping up to be the longest Drifter chapter of them all ! Ignoring First Concert, which doesn't really count. It’s almost there but, again, the end needs some work. Seems to just go by too quick, end too suddenly, and there’s some dialogue I need to fix. But I quite like this chapter, so hopefully I can get it fixed soon. Got a bit of Vanilla in this one!

Eggman’s Notes

As of yet, there is no new story ready for this series. There are three that I have started but I haven’t gotten around to completing any of them. One in particular is going to take some real doing... The one main one I’m working on is a regular observation story. The other is Eggman’s side of a scene from These Inhibitors’ Flaws - not spoiling which yet.

And the last is one that everyone is probably waiting for because I’ve been so vague about what happened. I have not yet decided which side of Fleetway’s creation I want to show off first, Sonic’s or Eggman’s. I’m still debating and so have been working on neither story instead. I’ll try and get to it eventually. But I also found a song that works so much better than the one I had originally picked out for the song fic about Fleetway (which I have already planned the story around) and… now I’m starting to wonder if it’s worth restructuring, if I should write two, or just write a normal oneshot at this point and relegate the song inspirations to the notes instead. It might get more people to read it, so maybe I’ll have to abandon my old plans and go with that.

Help Me… Please!

I just finished the next chapter for this yesterday! 3,695 words. I was up until half three in the morning, so you guys better like it, damn it! I’m kidding but like… please enjoy it. I like the way the chapter ends and I’m building to some stuff.

I did have this whole complicated idea for the lore that I made a while ago and now I… don’t really like it. Which has kinda made me scared for when I get to explanations of stuff because it’s just shit now and I don’t have any other ideas. I just feel like it’s a very disappointing, shitty conclusion to a story I’ve really been enjoying the rewrite of. I need to have a sit down and try and fix it but I’m not currently sure how to do that.

I Don’t Mind Seeing Where This Goes

This is another series that I haven’t started the next story for yet. I have a few story plans but I feel like I need one or two in between the current and the next one so… we’ll see. I’ll have a think soon.

I Live to Rule by the Sword

As always, this is somehow the story that I have the most updates ready for. Granted, this time it’s only two but still. I’m almost always prepared for this one and I’m not sure why. I do wanna do a lot with this story though so maybe the impatience is getting the best of me and I keep sneaking my way back here instead of working on everything else. The chapters are 3,728 words and 4,118 respectively. There’s a reason that second one is longer and it might get a touch longer in editing. I did a lot of research for that one and have still probably gotten a whole load of stuff wrong. Everything probably. But I tried, I just want you to know that.

Primal Instinct

I lied! There’s two chapters waiting for this too! 3,673 words and 3,294. That second one is not quite up to snuff yet, mostly because of the first half. I’ll give you a tiny spoiler: it’s Amy’s perspective that I’m struggling with here. I love the second half of the chapter but I did a lot of research for the first part and it needs some serious editing. Also, I struggle to write Amy so… that’s gonna be fun to try and fix.

For a story that started very slowly and had a lot of gaps in updates, it’s really become a fun one to write. I’m glad too because Unleashed is my all time favourite game so I’m so happy to have a proper story to pay tribute to it. There’s something about feral Sonic that gives me the warm and fuzzies; I love this fluffy little fuck. I used to doodle his design for the story all the time so I’m glad he’s finally been put to words.

Running on Steam

I’ve run out of updates here too but I am hoping to make a start on the next chapter possibly soon. Today, if I’m in the mood, but we’ll see. I have a plan for the next chapter, so I do have a starting point; hopefully that will prevent me from getting stuck. But I eventually have to get these two through a police blockade and um… gotta say, I’m struggling on how exactly to make that happen, ha.

These Inhibitors’ Flaws

Chapter ready! Wooooo! I know this is my biggest story, so that should hopefully make some of you pretty happy. Not sure it’s the most satisfying though or the continuation I’m sure a lot of you were expecting. There’s some brother stuff there though, so maybe that’ll make up for it? It’s 3,573 words but it needs some real editing. There’s a lot of dialogue to sift through towards the end…

When to Fight, When to Wait/The Mystery of the Mobian Royals

3,599. So damn close to a round number! Oh well. This chapter should be ready-ish. Almost. It needs a little something but I’m not sure what yet. It’s an interesting chapter though, I hope. Getting to some more plot finally. What are we on C plot? D? I don't know.

I did start a oneshot/multichapter story(?) while on holiday but... I didn't write much of it and I kinda gave up on the idea. It was beach related but I didn't think it was interesting enough, so I kinda half-scrapped it. It's still around just probably not gonna be anything. I might post what I have so far here at some point to see what people think.

Anyway, sorry this was long but they always are. Let me know which one(s) you’re most excited for! I mean, if you want to. I like making these big comprehensive update posts to keep you guys in the loop but I’m not sure if any of you find them particularly interesting. I’ll probably still keep making them though. It breaks up the usual monotony of the “this is being updated tomorrow” posts I usually make. Those are kinda pointless huh? But then, without them, I probably wouldn’t post all that much. I don't do sneak peeks anymore because people didn't really like those. And I also don't doodle as much as I used to. The rest of my time is dedicated to all the stories I have to update, so smaller pieces for Tumblr have kinda fallen to the wayside.

I don't really know what to post anymore to be honest.

You think so? And thank you so much - I'm glad you like my writing! I think it would be too disjointed but I could always try sometime. Maybe. I did have a start of one from a while ago. Don't want to give away the plot in case I do end up writing it but it involves Sonic going on a G.U.N. mission with Shadow and Rouge and a little bit of petty spite.

I love the idea that Sonic picks up other languages from his travels as well as him being very knowledgeable about other cultures. He's not fluent in all of them but he's conversational in most languages, including obscure ones not many people know or remember. Which reminds me of another idea involving that concept. Also involving G.U.N. weirdly enough. And Sonic acting as translator after their systems and Tails' are unable to identify a language. Which I then intended to connect to Sonic's past somehow. Never worked out all the details of that but the vague idea has stuck around for a while with some minor differences every time I re-remember it.

Also, yes, I do that all the time! It really messed with your head. Alternatively, though not the same thing, I make constant typos of the same words as the exact same thing every time without fail. An example of which is always typing form instead of from. And I blame These Inhibitors' Flaws for that one. Makes both stop sounding like real words in my head too.

Well, I have a few questions and observations regarding your works (at least the ones I've read). I was left wondering about a few things—mainly how you write Amy, Sonic, and Shadow.

I recall you mentioning that you didn't really like writing Amy or didn't know how to go about it. At times, I found myself thinking, "Why write about a character you don't like or struggle with?" But after some reflection, I realized we never grow as writers unless we put in the work. In your case, you'll never improve at writing her if you avoid it simply because you dislike the character or find her difficult to write. Of course, we have every right not to write about things we don't enjoy—we aren't obligated to—but it’s all about trial and error, you know? It’s a process. I don't know; I felt a bit odd reading the dynamic between Sonic and Amy in your stories—especially the recent birthday one, where Amy gets annoyed at Sonic for acting like himself in his own home(?) and gives up on trying to change him(?), at least in that specific story.

I agree that Amy used to be extremely clingy and annoying; I didn't like her back then either, though she’s one of my favorite characters now. I think the way she was portrayed, especially during the *Adventure* and *Heroes* era, is what fueled the growing hatred toward her. I believe things are better these days—even though there are attempts to downplay her love for Sonic, which is a defining trait of hers. Let's not forget she has her own choices and goals; while she loves Sonic, she’s capable of setting that love aside to focus on her own affairs or matters requiring more attention. I think *Frontiers* is a great example of this. Plus, she loves Sonic just the way he is; she knows he won't change, and she doesn't want to change him herself. Which brings me to another point in your writing that made me wonder: does Sonic see her as a sister? There’s nothing wrong with viewing it that way in your work, but I’ve read other stories where the two have that sibling-like dynamic and it feels much more natural—I think it’s because Amy knows he sees her that way, or she simply doesn't love him romantically anymore in those stories. In yours, however, she doesn't know and Sonic never actually says anything, so to me, the relationship ends up feeling a bit... odd?

It’s not so much that I don’t like writing her, more that I don’t really know how to write her to do her character justice. She’s definitely off in Happy Birthday Rodent, I fully acknowledge that. I didn’t mean for her to come across as judgy and mean, I just though that maybe she’d get slightly annoyed at his habits sometimes – boys and all that. But Sonic thinks she’s just given up on reprimanding him for it while in reality she’s accepted that it’s not a big deal. I know that doesn’t really come across because we don’t see her perspective but it’s what I thought at the time.

For a good while, I didn’t hate her but I didn’t really like Amy because of the way she’s often portrayed. But I do agree more recent depictions of her show her as more mature. Not having moved on from Sonic exactly but more focused on other things, on helping rather than just chasing him. She’s more of her own character in that regard. I like her now but she’s still far from my favourite – at no fault of her own. I think there was a version of her in one of the comics where she had a crossbow or something? Loved her design in that and I thought the portrayal of her then was pretty cool.

Most of the time, I feel Sonic views her as more of a sister. He’s got a found family thing going on with Tails, Knuckles and, to a slightly lesser extent, Amy. And I like that. In my stories, Sonic’s usually gay or ace to be honest, so he’s not really interested in her in that way. And the ace ones are sometimes put off by how open she is. But he still loves her, just not the way she wants.

And I get that it comes across as odd. I’m not really sure how to fix it at this point. I want to get them to that point in I Don’t Mind Seeing Where This Goes but maybe it’ll still feel wrong. I’m just not very good at writing her character in general, which probably doesn’t help the dynamic much.

And yeah, Shadow ‘s portrayal isn’t very great either. But if you came to me for accuracy, you’ve obviously hit the wrong place. I definitely play up his distaste for Sonic most of the time which is probably a mistake. I do like when they have a mutual respect but I’ve read so many great stories where they have that and I’ve just never really known how to replicate it – I’m not a great writer.

To me, Sonic usually has that respect and wishes him the best. But I think he just pushes too much for them to be friends that it bothers Shadow. That probably shouldn’t translate into hate but… too late, I guess. I don’t think Shadow hates him in The Mystery of the Mobian Royals exactly, he’s just put off by Sonic’s eagerness. That’s changed quite a bit already in that one though. But most of my stories start with animosity on Shadow’s part because I don’t know how to build a proper, natural relationship between characters that don’t already have that established. So I think that’s where it comes from. Maybe one day I’ll be able to write a story where that’s not the case.

Don’t apologise for the wall of text, I like answering questions and reading people’s thoughts on my work. I am very glad you like my stories despite everything. And without constructive criticism, I can’t improve, right?

I have a question about *I Live to Rule by the Sword*: will the knights see Sonic acting more informally? More like his true self? You know—hands behind his head, elbows resting on the table, leaning against a wall, or sitting in a way they’d consider "informal"? Also, I hadn't really stopped to think about it before, but as far as I recall, Sonic has only laughed once—when he was with Melor (well, it was more of a low chuckle, but still). So, I wonder: will other characters hear or witness Sonic laughing? Like a genuine laugh, or even just a smile? I don't know; he’s been under a lot of stress lately, but I hope he can relax and allow himself to smile more.

Did the Kingdom of Mobotropolis have its own language? Or does everyone communicate in the same language, both inside and outside the kingdom? Sorry, I'm not sure if I explained that clearly.

I started thinking about this because I was listening to a song where the singer switched from English to Japanese halfway through, and I remembered a video I saw featuring a screenshot of Naoto Ohshima confirming on Twitter that Sonic is fluent in every language on Earth (don't ask me how I connected the two contexts; even I don't know). I went to his Twitter to check if it was true but couldn't find anything, so I don't know if the video was faked or if I just didn't look hard enough.

Even so, I believe most of the fandom agrees that Sonic speaks many languages ​​due to his constant travels around the world; do you find that idea interesting too?

I don't think they'd have their own language, no. It would be cool though.

However, I do subscribe to the idea that Sonic knows a wealth of languages! I have always believed that. You have no idea how many times I've wanted to implement that but I unfortunately do not know any other languages myself and so have been hesitant to include it. From a very young age through all of high school, I was taught Welsh but none of it stuck. And I also tried to learn French in high school too but that also did not go in. I think my brain just doesn't work that way, which is a shame.

I have actually got a few ideas revolving around Sonic knowing other languages but have just never written them. One that I did attempt was from someone else's perspective and I just didn't write any actual dialogue for it, so it was kinda... eh. I would love to at some point though.

And I don't mind answering your other question: I'm 23.

Update Time

All going well, I'm gonna try and get the second chapter of Me, You, Here edited and up tomorrow. It quite long though, longer than I intended, so failing that, I'll try These Inhibitors Flaws instead.

Also, I have a few questions to respond to on here but I'm gonna be busy tonight. I'll try and answer them later, if not it'll probably be tomorrow. But I have seen them, I promise. I'm not ignore them.

I am also starting to run low on banked chapters and I have a holiday coming up, so I might have to stop updates for a few days to try and do some catch up if that's ok. I like having a bigger backlog than I currently do - I blame the birthday story for that. And the heat. And starting another chapter of Drifter instead of what I was supposed to be working on. I am now writing These Inhibitors Flaws but I both want to write ten different things and nothing at the moment. This heat has melted my brain and made thinking difficult. I'm hoping to do some real writing soon now that the temperature is seeming to be going down a touch.

I'll keep you posted but will be at least taking a week off starting on the 6th July. I might even have to only have one update next week as well to keep my backlog decent enough so I don't fall too behind. I will be updating something Wednesday and will let you know then what I decide.
