Bit of an update to this post: I'm mostly a Naruto account I post about the founders a lot BUT I also post about many other fandoms (I'm Naruto focused but multi fandom in the end of the day, basically).

I also think a lot about not only umineko but the when they cry series cuz it's my Roman empire basically so I sometimes post spoilers however I tag them under the #umineko spoilers tag so if you plan on reading and/or are bothered by that I recommend you to filter that one

Lastly I tend to tag my non Naruto related posts under the #not NRT posts for those followers/mutuals that followed me for the Naruto content

Just realized I should probably add that I tend to like stuff in bulk in order to save it for later when I can't reblog or reply at the moment </3

madara’s duality is my favourite thing ever

you have this absolute beast, a legendary shinobi who single-handedly wrecked the five kage and started a war just because he’s that guy. he’s cold, hot, ambitious, and looks down on everyone

…but on the other hand, the moment hashirama shows up, madara flips into full hashirama-senpai~ mode. hashirama really won at life by having someone THAT devoted to him

to madara, nobody else even exists. like that one iconic line from the naruto game: 'you still can’t touch me, you’re not hashirama.' the man's standards are literally just are you senju hashirama? no? then MOVE

creating a character this insanely powerful — both mentally and physically — only to make them so hyper-fixated on one single person (excluding his love for izuna, ofc) is ABSOLUTE PEAK

Somehow, I believe their relationship would still be just as doomed if they were women. Doomed HashiMada yuri is a nice flavour, tho, isn't it.

I have the urge to tear my hair out from how frustrated my watercolour paintings are making me. You don't understand because you can't see my work irl, but I am having so much trouble with how the pigments end up in picture...

Also, I feel the need to mention that interesting hc of Mari_kel for genderbent Hashirama and Madara to have short hair. I think I can picture it both ways, but it is a nice parallel, so now I have integrated it. Do go read her work, her writing is gold, btw. If you need to blame anyone for me being so invested in the founder era of Naruto and hashimada, it's her.

When you can't lie to save your life...

And if you think about it, we never see Madara outright lie (tell me if I'm wrong) I've said it before, but when he doesn't want someone to know something, he just closes off, he just doesn't say anything he doesn't believe. It doesn't take away from his ability to manipulate others because he can work around it, but I find it genuinely funny and interesting to have Madara incapable of lying with a straight face (straight, lol)

Like, imagine, he becomes super tense and unnatural when he tries to force an emotion and lie, perhaps it would be something he manages to hide better on the battlefield, where adrenaline is running so high he just had a manic grin plastered on his face (addict)

But it's a limitation that I really enjoy.

Also, context, perhaps. This is for my fic, the one I'm currently writing. I'm thinking of adding a small chapter to include it, in term of chronology, it would have happened in the beginning, but I just hadn't included this scene. It's time travel, so this is a young Madara with a young Obito (and an unimpressed Izuna)
