Okay, I don't like the vagueness of the word "some" so I'll tag two mutuals. And this is a big step for me because I'm usually too shy to tag people...
Daydream Believer - The Monkees. Really great song, very cheerful and positive, THE Davy Jones song. I love the music video, too. Love how touchy-feely Davy is with the other Monkees. (Especially Peter!)
If I Fell - The Beatles. Beautiful song. One of the most poignant and romantic ballads of the early Beatles. John and Paul's harmonizing really shines through in this one. The kind of song you could drift off to sleep to. I read some of John's feelings for Paul into it as well.
Sunny Afternoon - The Kinks. There's something lightly erotic about the way Ray Davies sings "Save/help me, save/help me, save/help me" and "I've got a big fat mama tryin' to break me." It's not really about the lyrics, or even the meaning, but about the way he sings it.
Seven Nation Army - The White Stripes. I know very little about this rock duo, but I love the "bass" line, which isn't actually a bass at all but a semi-acoustic guitar. I also like the lyrics, even if I'm not looking too deeply into what they mean.
Finally, the underground theme from Super Mario World. It's very relaxing and I sometimes play it when I need to focus. The feeling is the equivalent of sitting in a cool cave with a nice breeze.
