hello! just wanted to give a little heads up that there’s a new vampire farming sim, moonlight peaks, that recently released. it has a really diverse cast of dateable characters, but, as a warning to any potential players of color, and especially Black players, they offer two styles of character portraits (one more realistic a d one more anime style) and the second anime style removes the ethnic features of the non-white dateables. the worst, by far, is elvira, the Black vampire bartender who has her wide nose changed to the typical anime point, fuller lips almost completely removed, and textured hair straightened. the devs have also come out and said they allow genAI modding in their discord (including portrait mods that either whitewash the characters or turn them into stereotypes) even encouraging and supporting some AI vibe-coders. their social media manager has also posted genAI character pictures, only removing one because it was nsfw when the ai and nsfw was pointed out. the fandom is also pretty racist, many claiming there are no attractive male dateables except for Death, the faceless grim reaper, and Ridge, the white lumberjack looking werewolf, and begging for another white character, Ridge’s brother, to be made romanceable because none of the others, noteably majority men of color, are attractive enough.
