I'm back in my httyd phase again...
I think this is my first time drawing Hiccup and he's my all time favorite since I was a kid so I hope I did him justice <3
If the Witch knew the true meaning of sacrifice, she might have interpreted the deep magic differently. That when a willing victim who has committed no treachery, is killed in a traitor's stead, the stone table will crack, and even death itself would turn backwards.
THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA: THE LION, THE WITCH AND THE WARDROBE 2005, dir. Andrew Adamson
Gonna cryyyyy
Just found out I have myalgic encephalomyelitis. So now I'm thinking of living like that in Cair Paravel for comfort reasons.
I just know they'd be so nice to me about it.
No one would really know what it was or why rest didn't really help me much but they would try!!! And really nothing would change, I'd still be the king consort, I'd still be Edmund's prince bride, his little sleeping beauty.
Oh, to be loved and seen as a man even though I have various "woman" disorders...
lucy: ed! what did we say about comparing eustace to the sea serpent?
edmund: that it's offensive to the serpent?
abandonment issues are sooooo funny. "i'm scared people will leave me so i push them away first to avoid being hurt" girl the prophecy is self fulfilling!!! the sabotage is coming from within!!! you forgot about the cycle!!!!!!!!!
-Edmund, thwacking his loved ones with a rolled up scroll.
Insomnia is plaguing me horribly again. Thinking about spending my nights reading in little nooks of Cair Paravel. Or quietly singing lullabies to myself on the beach under the castle.
And Edmund would often be slightly roused by me crawling into bed around 4 or 5 in the morning, only to hold me close and when he wakes for good he'd find me sleeping soundly in his arms.
Hi I'm tired and thinking about narnia so here are random sleep related headcannons I don't actually know what to call this but here it is.
Susan is an insomniac.
Caspian needs a ton of pillows and blankets to sleep He also gets really like huggy and cuddley and quite when he's sleepy.
Edmund sleeps like a psychopath without any blankets and maybe occasionally one (1) pillow.
When Susan dose get sleep she's like a cat in a way and sleeps under her blankets curled up in a ball in the middle of her bed.
Lucy sleeps with her head under the covers and her feet on the pillows pippi longstocking style because she read the book tried it out and just hasn't gone back to sleeping "the normal way." Since.
Eustace will find a way to take up all the space he can while sleeping this bitch is sprawled out like a starfish or just what looks to be the most uncomfortable positions but he sleeps fine but yeah he will find a way to take up 80% of the bed.
Peter has to wrap up in a tight burrito blanket to be able to sleep it keeps him from moveing around other wise man moves constantly in his sleep.
Migraines bothering me again. I want to lie with my head on a cushion in Edmund's lap, and him rubbing my head gently.
He seems so soft. Ideal to hold me.
The Pevensie children are too old for their age.
Their mom notices, at the dinner table. She sees no nagging children, no stupid fights. She sees Lucy eating and speaking with perfect manners, Edmund analysing the economy and war with concerning skill, Susan being gracious but poised, like a diplomat.
Their father sees it in Peters eyes the first time they get into a fight. When he moves to punish Edmund for speaking out of turn, Peter calls him out on it. When his gaze meet his eldest son's, he's leveled by the war he sees behind it, the tensed muscle in his arm, the knuckles white around his knife. He's seen that before, in other soldiers. He doesn't know how to react.
Other children notice, too. Talking to all the Pevensie kids at the same time is like being the only one left out of a secret, and the way they touch and tease each other speaks of a history far deeper than their polite demeneor lets on. And when they walk they fall in line, as if there is a natural hierarchy between them.
The first time anyone picks a fight with Edmund, Peter comes home with a three week suspension and blood around his mouth. He looks more alive than you've seen him in weeks.
When Susan gets back in the pool after Narnia, she wins all the contests. Coaches can't explain how to beat her, because they don't understand how she's doing it, either. She seems to almost disappear when underwater.
Lucy, always gay and golden-haired, starts dancing, and never misses a step. She moves with an elegance that no 10 year old should have, and all the girls want to be friends with her
Edmund soon becomes the best student in his faculty. He always seems to know the right thing to say, and teachers laud his ability to think through complex problems. His mouth does get him in trouble sometimes, but the boy seems uncatchable, always talking his way through the cracks. And if not?
No one actively fears Peter, but everyone is a little scared of him sometimes. He's tall for his age, sure, but there is something else, some other air that seems to give him an authority far beyond what's normal for a teenage boy. He's nice enough, but teachers can't stand it, and bullies learn very quickly that pissing him off means missing teeth and black eyes.
The Pevensies are not quite inhuman, but not fully mortal, either
I'd hoard little packages of cookies all around the castle, in the strangest places too.
"Oh, the king consort and his sweets," people would say if they found one, and put it back for me to eat.
Edmund would laugh every time he found me munching on them and kiss my forehead.
Horny Edmund thought of the day: (mdni)
Him slipping a hand down my pants in a dim room of people just to tease me. Nobody looking, but the thrill would still be amazing.
Curling up in bed with Edmund. Early in the morning. Both sleepy. Tea on the bedside table. Nice.
Oh dear. I've been poisoned. (Not really. I just have celiac disease and I was exposed to gluten.)
I think Edmund would have a Serious Conversation with the kitchen staff if that ever happened even if I asked him not to. I would probably end up apologizing to them after my organs stopped liquefying themselves lol.
Goodness. It's been a while since I've posted here. I haven't forgotten about dear Edmund, don't worry.
Today I'm thinking about summer in Cair Paravel. High temperatures quite literally make me feel sick. So I would likely either spend a great deal of my time in the underground portion of the castle or only participate in life during nighttime, the early morning, and the evening.
I would likely have duties in Cair Paravel as a king consort, but it would be pretty cool to just be a trophy husband and not deal in politics
Murder mystery game with the Pevensies. Lucy would be the "victim" and Edmund and I would be a team.
