smut with a side of dread
algo meio mistico que sempre quando eu vejo um parabrisa limpo me da uma vontade forte de arremessar um boulder nele
só pra ver quebrar saca
e cair dentro do carro
principalmente na chuva pq o parabrisa se ja tava limpo parece mais limpo
meows loud as fuck shattering all glass within 3 miles no survivors
Every morning in the torture dungeon, the torturer (love your job and you’ll never work a day in your life) goes around greeting his victims with, “wakey wakey begs and achey.”
if you can't handle me at my worst then stop dragging me there fucker
do you like my repetitive and outdated music taste
Are you ever going to draw butches again
I looked into the future just for you and it’s gay men forever until I hit 81. So stick around!
I don’t know I don’t control what I’m into or how long it lasts. Maybe. There’s other artists out there
it really pisses me off when adults sit there and drill it into kids’ heads that their youth is fleeting and tell them things like “enjoy your childhood while it lasts because this is the best it’s gonna get”. why are you telling children that adulthood is the worst thing they can experience? seriously what the fuck is wrong with you, why are you trying to make them feel like growing up is a fate worse than death? trying to convince them their life is over before it even begins? i’m tired of that shit. because tell my why my 12 year old cousin told me when she turns 30 she’ll be so depressed she’s just gonna cry all the time. what the fuck. kids don’t need to hear that their already stressful and overwhelming lives are never going to get better, that the abuse and lack of autonomy they face is apparently the highlight of their lives. they need to hear about adults who are happy to be alive and happy to have made it to their age. they need to know that growing up rules, it’s a gift and life does not have to suck for them, that they have a future that’s worth sticking around for. this rhetoric is so damaging mentally and i’m about to start hitting the adults who parrot it. i’m sorry you hate your life but you don’t get to dump your issues on these kids. don’t piss me off and leave these babies alone!

patrons are gonna explode this update >:3
yep we did in fact explode
When I was a child, I had the distinct feeling I wasn’t like other girls. Not in a misogynistic quirky way, I had a difficult time fitting in with my peers and it caused me a great deal of consternation. It as very difficult to articulate what was different and I would lay awake at night wondering why what the fuck was wrong with me. Then I realized I wasn’t like other girls because I wasn’t a girl.
He was as tall as he was tall, and his eyes were the color they were. To describe his hair one would say that he had some. His face had all the features you'd expect, and none of the ones you wouldn't. "There he is," people would often say of him, but only when he was there. And they were right.
Does anyone else sometimes have this extremely faint and vague feeling of worry and doubt, that what if everything I was taught at school and see online is a lie, propaganda, nonsense and fabrication, something that's been made up to conceal the fact that your whole home country/region is kept in an isolation bubble where you only think that you are free, and know real things about the real rest of the world. And then every time you see something in real life that works with the exact same logic or mechanics as you were taught at school and you're like oh woah. That is real.
Like sitting in a train and hearing someone speak a language you studied a little at school, and you find yourself recognising words here and there, the grammar is the way you were taught and you're like woah, that actually is a real language that people speak in real life. I wasn't taught to memorise some nonsensical word puzzle mechanic just to earn a grade, that's a real language that I could learn to speak with real people.
The rest of the world outside of my personal physical range of observation is really real. There's an above zero possibility that Spain exists.
yes Latinos and the Spanish language are real. we are real and on Tumblr, and Spain isn’t the only country that we Hispanics exist in, in fact i live in the United States, the US of A, and I speak Spanish
I live in Europe and the closest Spanish-speaking country to my location is Spain. Thank you for clarifying that you are american.
Chat is it racist to worry that nothing you have been taught in school is actually real, including the world outside your personal vicinity, and being relieved to witness tangible proof that other places, cultures and people are real and really there?
I wouldn't say it's racist but it's definitely not normal. "The world isn't real, it was made up to fool me" is a pretty serious fear that you should probably talk to someone about.
I specified "extremely faint and vague" intentionally. Like it's not even something you consciously think or fear, or something you'd even be aware of, before witnessing something that proves the contrary and are immediately relieved and reassured by it.
Like everyone's at least once had that thought when you're like taking a shower, "hey wouldn't it be fucked up if I wasn't actually at home taking a shower, but instead I'm tripping and I'm currently standing naked in the street, thinking that I'm at home taking a shower."
as someone that knows english since the childhood and was generally better at it than my peers (not my native language), school tried to teach me a lot of wrong "word puzzle mechanics". i only knew how to tell the difference from that to something real because i already knew everything they were teaching (at least in the english class).
i had many classmates that really believed that whatever they were saying was right because "why would it be wrong? the teacher knows way better than me and is Literally here to teach me". i had an ongoing joke that lasted a year and a half that a specific english teacher made at least a mistake per class. i don't really remember if there were a time with no mistakes, but many times it was way more than just one.
i'm obviously not saying that it happens to everyone. i believe most people are properly educated and, when not, it's about things that don't really matter much to them. what i'm saying is: i have seen it happen innumerous times and it is not something unnatural to think if you were ever given the wrong information. (i also think this could be a good thing!! do your own research and try to love the act of learning new information!!!!!!!!!!)
i hate it when people mistake "etymology" with "entomology." like, i know where they coming from but it still bugs me
This is a comment someone appended to a photo of two men apparently having sex in a very fancy room, but it’s also kind of an amazing two-line poem? “His Wife has filled his house with chintz” is a really elegant and beautiful counterbalancing of h, f, and s sounds, and “chintz” is a perfect word choice here—sonically pleasing and good at evoking nouveau riche tackiness. And then “to keep it real I fuck him on the floor” collapses that whole mood with short percussive sounds—but it’s still a perfect iambic pentameter line, robust and a lovely obscene contrast with the chintz in the first line. Well done, tumblr user jjbang8
I hate that my aesthetic sense agrees with this but everything you just said was correct
I went back to dig up this post because I was thinking about poetry.
This is one of those non-poem things that are among my favorite poems.
As the OP stated, the use of alliterative consonants is aesthetically just great, especially the placement of the strongest use at the end: “fuck him on the floor.” The use of “chintz” is indeed great word choice.
Because I’m insane, decided to scan the poem:
Not only is the second sentence, indeed, perfect iambic pentameter, the entire poem is perfectly metered, though the first sentence has four iambs rather than five.
There are further things I love about this poem, though: I like the casual connotations of “keep it real” juxtaposed with “chintz.” It causes me to interpret the “chintz” more strongly as meaning something fake, a facade. There is also of course the coarseness of “fuck,” which is a contrast with “chintz” but a different kind of contrast, gutsy and carnal where “chintz” is flimsy and inanimate.
And then there is the storytelling: there is SO MUCH storytelling in just these two lines. To break it down: The speaker is having sex with a married man, in the house he shares with his wife, which is “filled with chintz”—something that here connotes fakeness, in contrast with “keep it real.”
The illicit encounter in the poem takes place within a house filled with facade, the flimsy construction of the wife’s marriage and domestic sphere, but the encounter itself is a taste of something “real.” That’s a story, and it’s just two lines.
This is EIGHTEEN SYLLABLES, y’all. The amount of meaning condensed into these eighteen syllables is stunning, and it is so elegantly done.
From a technical standpoint (and ive taken 300- and 400-level poetry classes so I can say this) this is damn near flawless as a poem.
Kept thinking about this ever since I saw it and had to do something
there's art now
Ah dang to go further; the floor is framed as a refuge. As if there is literally no other space in this house that hasn't been populated by his wife with flimsy inanimate fakery. There is no space for this man in this house save for the floor. There is no space for him on the sofa, oon the counter tops, and most notably, no space for him in the marital bed.
I’d also like to point out the use of the word “has.” The wife has filled the house with chintz. She isn’t filling the house with chintz. She doesn’t fill the house with chintz. She has filled the house with chintz. Use of the past-tense makes the wife a subtly removed element in the story, someone whose presence we see in the environment, but who is blissfully distant during the actors throes of passion. There is an element of physical as well as emotional separation from the wife that is catalyzed by being fucked on the floor. Use of the past tense is an end to the wife presence in the actors life, a carnal catharsis amid cold fragility and emotional distance.
This is my new favourite post in the world
everyone cheer for the one (1) time tumblr had reading comprehension
And, predictably, it's because it was about gay sex
saw a comment that misspelled “kind gesture” as “kind jester” and am now imagining a beautiful world where we praise good samaritans by calling them kind jesters. good on you, you gentle fool. you’ve made the world a sweeter and sillier place.
