It is capable of obscene violence and does everything it can to avoid using it.

It couldn't tell you what it's feeling if you put a gun to its head, and it knows this about itself.

It once teleported down a hallway to avoid hearing about a friend's romantic spat.

Come on, Murderbot fans, we can't let it fall behind. I'll repeat my previous propaganda: This one is for the Agenders, Aromantics, and Asexuals. Murderbot's an it/its pronoun user, NOT here for gender, sex or romance—and moreover, its staunch refusal of these normative "human" identities underscores themes about agency and self-determination and the right to say no. It doesn't do the "asexual robot" trope, either—the ace queerness is very much a Murderbot individual thing, because of who it is, not a SecUnit-wide thing.

I was gonna describe Palpatine’s spaces as like the bloody insides of a large beast, but the more I thought about it

…Palpatine’s office is a womb right? Its where Sidious’ perfect apprentice is developed. He’s nurtured in this space by Palpatine until he Anakin leaves it reborn Vader.

Like there’s really so much to say about Palpatine and yonic symbolism.

He’s also almost an anti-mother. With Anakin only knowing a mother’s love, and both of his major conflicts being about saving his mother and the mother of his children, Palpatine is a perversion of both. With Palpatine eventually replacing both Shmi and Padmé. Initially taking a nurturing role throughout his conflict over his mother, and eventually becoming the person Vader is most dedicated to through his conflict over Padmé.

Shmi’s child (Anakin) dies and is reborn Darth Vader. Idk it’s just paired with the raw bloody entrance like outfit we wears. They’re in this red organ like office and Vader is being born through Sidious. Its almost a gory birth scene.

Then there’s like the inverse of Anakin with his mother happening in this scene. With Palpatine arriving on time.

why the age verification thing is stupid example #927370: let's say that almost two decades ago you lied about your age to make this account because you had to be at least 13. All this time, it's been a couple years off.

Now, tumblr wants you to prove your age. Even if you wanted to verify it (don't), you wouldn't be able to because it doesn't match your id. And there's nothing you can do about that besides making a brand new account. Isn't that beautiful?

I do love how Shadow Lord is actually engaging with Maul as a disabled character. His protheses need regular, painful maintenance, and they react painfully to water. What would’ve been a surface burn that he could’ve shrugged off if he had his old legs turns into a massive problem that unexpectedly causes him to collapse and lose control of his legs. He’s actually disabled by the whole not having legs thing, it’s great

Sometimes I wonder if Thrawn sent Eli away, not just to help the Ascendancy, and not just to keep Eli safe--but also to shield him from seeing what Thrawn knows he's about to do become. Batonn is a point of no return, he knows it. Thrawn knows exactly what he has to become to accomplish his goal. But some part of him can't bear the thought of Eli becoming that too. Of seeing Thrawn become that. He must do this alone, where nobody he loves can ever see (until they do)

this and also my headcanon has always been that after the wookiee incident, thrawn knew deep down that if eli stays in the empire long enough, he's going to defect and possibly join the rebellion. one of the empire's atrocities will eventually be the final straw for him. and thrawn realizes he would rather risk never seeing eli again than have to face him as an enemy
