I'm Mars or Day. Mostly, I dabble in art and write fan fictions that I start by saying it'll be a short story and 70,000 words later I am still writing.
I'm currently very interested in Heated Rivarly, Baldur's Gate 3, Kingdom Come Deliverance, Dragon Age, Mass Effect, and Project Hail Mary. I'm sure other interests pop in and out over time too.
I recently made a blog to store my art here: @marsartattack

Chapter 1 — Antiva
"You are being ridiculous."
"I am being careful, Teia," Lucanis said, frowning down at the list in his hand. Behind him the Diamond buzzed with its usual activity, the murmur of conversation and the clink of coin from the public level blending with the more deliberate sounds of Crows going about their business in the Sanctum. "You have all the notes on the fledgling training?"
He looked up in time to see her roll her eyes. "Yes. I told you, yes."
"It's important, Teia. It can't wait until I'm back." He felt the low-level apprehension he'd been battling for the past week take another lurch upward. "Maybe I should—"
"If you say 'maybe I should postpone my trip' I am going to have Viago drug you and the two of us will throw you in the back of a carriage."
"Teia."
"I mean it, Lucanis. You're going. We've talked over all of this a hundred times already. We have it covered."
He sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. "I wasn't going to suggest postponing. I just want to be certain that—"
"Stop worrying. It's only a month. What can go wrong in a month?"
The question sent a shudder through him. "A lot."
"We'll take care of it," she said, her tone reassuring even through her exasperation. "Caterina is hardly going to let the House fall. Even Illario has started making himself useful on occasion."
He gave Teia a dark glare, which she ignored. "You deserve this, Lucanis. You and your necromancer friend have been talking about making a tour like this since before the fall of the gods."
"I know." He sighed, looking at his list again. There were still several items they hadn't talked about, and his mind insisted on adding more.
Always. More.
Lucanis shushed Spite's grumbling and tucked the list into his breast pocket. "I appreciate the help, Teia. You know I will return the favor if you and Viago ever want to get away."
"You're a dear," she said. "Just be sure to bring us back some of the wine you sample."
He started to reply then saw her gaze shift to focus on something behind him. "What is it?" he asked, his shoulders tensing.
"You are about to be ambushed," she murmured, the hint of a smile playing over her lips.
In a flurry of footsteps, a familiar redhead hurried up and threw her arms around him. "Lucanis!"
"Harding?" He returned the hug, blinking in surprise. "What are you doing here at the Diamond?"
"We just happened to be at the Lighthouse, and then—"
"Where are we taking this?" Taash came around the corner, holding one end of a large trunk.
"Just here is fine for the moment." Emmrich appeared behind Taash, his face pink with exertion. He set down the other end of the trunk and smiled at them. "Lucanis! I'm a trifle early, but I didn't want to be the cause of any delay."
"Welcome to the Diamond, Professor Volkarin," Teia said with a warm smile. "We are so glad you are here to take Lucanis off our hands."
Lucanis shot her a look and then moved over to greet his old friend. "I am glad you made it. Though I did not expect you to bring these two along," he said, nodding at Taash and Harding.
"Like I said, we were at the Lighthouse, and then Emmrich stopped in to pick up some stuff from his old room, and one thing led to another." Harding blew a stray hair out of her face and gave Lucanis a grin. "Ready for your big vacation?"
"I will be," Lucanis said, eyeing Emmrich's luggage. "That is a very large trunk for a four week trip."
The first five seven chapters of Tension are out now, with the others being released over the rest of the week.
This piece is something I wrote as part of the 2026 Emmcanis Minibang and I got to work with two amazing artists; leiseil and jadeykinns. Please check out their pieces, they're both exceptionally talented people and I cannot get over the quality of their work.
Also, I highly recommend checking out the other works as part of the Emmcanis Minibang!
Summary: Lucanis doesn't trust the new necromancer at first. Bringing the dead back to life? A waste of his hard work. Yet, Spite insisted upon meeting Manfred and soon enough, Lucanis found himself in the necromancer's room, with a steaming, untouched cup of tea before him.
Lucanis was exhausted, worn down and held together only by the frayed strings of his own determination. Every fibre of his body was wrung tight with tension. Emmrich made an offer to relieve some of that tension, and Lucanis refused... At first.
It was perfectly normal, especially when faced with the impossible, to seek stress relief with another. Except, Lucanis wasn't that kind of person; he didn't do that sort of thing, and especially not with a necromancer. And yet, each time he chose to return. Each time he lingered that bit longer, reaching for more, and Emmrich carefully helped Lucanis piece together the broken parts of himself with something neither of them expected.
But the gods don't wait for healing, and Lucanis still has his contract to fulfil.
Hello everyone! It is my pleasure to share with you the piece I wrote for the 2026 Emmcanis Mini Bang!
I'm so happy with the way it turned out. I hope you enjoy it, too!
Updates will be posted every day until all chapters are up. It's still technically being written, but I have 8 of the 10 written and ready to go. I hope to finish it in the next few days.
Beautiful banners featuring @wolfpup026 and Veet Voojagig's art they created for the fic! Banners made by Veet Voojagig. Definitely go check out their pieces, they're gorgeous!

Summary:
The Hearth and Honey Bakery was only a year old, but had really taken off. Lucanis had developed regular customers, including his very sweet neighbor who ran the bookshop next door, and began to receive more and more requests for custom event cakes. He could even afford to finally hire someone to help with the work load.
Building his perfect little life in Nevarra City hadn't been easy, but he loved the place he found himself in now; doing something he was passionate about, something that made him truly happy for the first time in decades.
He loved his new life, and he would fight tooth and nail to keep it, no matter who threatened it.
I finally got my Gale x Tav commission from @redreart and I absolutely adore it! Thank you so much for all your hard and talented work. I'm absolutely ecstatic with the outcome!
