Since content creators were able to create assets for Valve games like Dota2 and Team Fortress 2, Valve has paid out over $50 million. That's amazing. They just announced something new for content creators: the ability to create goods for some non-Valve games!
From their news release:
To celebrate and expand upon this success, Steam content creators now have the ability to create and sell items for non-Valve games. And in addition, a new suite of reporting tools have been introduced that allow content creators to monitor and track the sale of their items in real time.
If anyone's wondering why gamers love Valve so much - this is the reason.
