That’s me, huge introvert over here. Everyone loves and adores me, though? I like you, and keep repeating that, especially when my siblings are around. But no, I appreciate that and it’s nice of you to say. A language off? See, I’d have said yes until you said that you speak three. Suddenly, my Swedish, English, and broken French are cowering a little, though I can say some curse words in German. Does that count? That’s pretty impressive that you’re fluent in three languages, I have to say. Are there any others you’d love to learn? I'm sorry, but that's the most adorable story! I love it, especially the enthusiasm about a book, and other language or not, I can't believe that lady wasn't at least amused by the whole situation, if not a little charmed. I guess I just love enthusiasm and I'd have lapped that up in a bookstore setting in a moment. She and I aren't the same, clearly. Which book was this, by the way? Do you have a lot of books you'd have that same reaction to just based on the stories? I think the most recent times I can remember getting those sorts of looks from people are when I talk about art or home decor, both which are my side passions next to my music. i've found that when i start talking about formula one to people who have no clue about the sport -- they look at me a little lost and often confused. probably wondering how someone can really enjoy watching cars drive, yeah? but i can't help it, it's one of those sports i can't get enough of, and i will talk to anyone about it, even if they don't know what i'm talking about! plus, it's easy to get caught up in what you're talking about when you're excited, so it's no surprise that you didn't realize you were speaking in german until you were done talking. and it sounds like you were really excited about the book -- so i have to ask, what was the book called? because if you're that excited about it, i might want to read it! even though you were embarrassed and she backed away after you laughed, did you try and talk to her again? or did you leave the store all together? but love, i'm sure a lot of people embarrassed themselves this week, and you're not the only one. i have not embarrassed myself at all this week, which is unusual, so now that i've put it out in the world, i'll likely embarrass myself soon. hopefully it's something that'll make me and everyone else laugh, because if i'm embarrassing myself, i want it to at least be funny. || @gayovng

F1 isn’t my thing, but I do love some motocross! It’s similar? I like my sports a little rougher and dirtier. I can’t do boxing, though. Too much blood for my liking. You can feel free to talk to me about F1! Might spark my interest in it. I could always use something new to spend my free time doing. It’s sweet that you’re so into it, you can’t help but bring it up around others. I feel like we should all be so passionate about our hobbies, but some people might be a tad bit embarrassed by theirs, so they keep quiet. I’m probably boring everyone with my answer, but it was The Count of Monte Cristo. Old, but in great condition, I had to have it. I’m collecting as many first editions as I can. I stood there not sure what to do, and by the time I made a move, she was gone. As sad as this sounds, it was like a scene right out of a K-drama. I could have been acting! You’re right! I can say yes, the period in my life when I took a world perfume history in preparation for creating a fragrance was probably the time I set a record for making people's eyes glaze over. I just found the subject matter fascinating, personally, but I guess not everyone in my life felt that way. That's a hilarious encounter you had in the bookstore though, and definitely takes the cake on surprise interactions! Which book was it that made you so excited? And I don't know who wouldn't laugh a little in that situation, so if it makes you feel any better, I'd have had the same reaction. It is a fascinating subject! I love scents, and smelling delicious. Nothing in this world beats a good long bath, followed by a spritz of your favorite perfume before bed. oh no, i'm sad that you weren't able to go, love! because you truly missed a great time -- though i understand all to well about not being able to clear schedules! i will say that a lot of the performances are online, so i hope that you get to watch them and feel like you were there a little! i can't even stress enough how amazing it was to headline -- i never dreamed of something like this, and i'm still pinching myself! and it was so surreal to have so many people singing my songs back at me, you know? i stuck around for the whole weekend with my family and friends -- and so many people put on an amazing show, i was so happy to be a part of that. it didn't even matter that i was a little drained, i wanted to be there to support everyone that i could, you know? but understand what you mean, because, girl, i love my alone time too. as someone who has just gotten into acting herself, i can understand doing that and could honestly see myself doing that as well, i feel like that's a great way to keep your lines fresh in your memory, right? i can imagine why you learn your lines quickly too, that's amazing! this is pretty embarrassing to admit, but yes, i've forgotten the lyrics to my songs a few times. not a whole lot of times, but a few enough to feel slightly ashamed by it. but for the most part, i know my songs by heart, just some days you've got off days, right? and i eat the red and purple skittles! my dancers eat the rest of the colors, though, so no skittle goes to waste! i'm glad you think all my rituals to go on stage are cute and not insane, thank you! another person who doesn't like odd numbers?! that's wonderful -- because i feel the same way. i have to make sure everything ends in an even number, i thought i was the only one like this! || @gayovng

I need a better management team. One that lets me skip work! From everything I saw online, it looked like the best weekend. I was super jealous of every living soul there. I’ve caught up with most of the performances, but I might need a redo on some, since they were so fabulous. Your set included! i'm someone who has the gift of gab so to speak -- so i know that when i go on some of my rambling sessions, people tend to stare a little at me dumbfounded. especially when i talk really fast, which i tend to do when i get excited about something! i understand all to well what you mean -- though i can't help but find it sweet that you were talking in german without realizing it. especially because it was after you got done talking with your sister! also, i can't help but love how excited you got about the book, because that's the best part of reading sometimes, right? i bet the girl you approached saw how excited you were, even if she couldn't understand what you were saying! though i can't help but find it a little funny that when you laughed, she backed away, she might have very well thought you lost your mind, but i bet she went home and told the story to anyone that would listen. and possibly had a laugh about it! though i don't know if that helps your embarrassment or not! i promise you that you're not the only one who has embarrassed herself silly this week. i've been missing my other half because he was in london doing promo -- so i was a little moody and wasn't paying attention when i got dressed to go to set. when i got there, my makeup artist instantly started laughing and pointed out that my clothing was inside out. i went and got coffee before going to set, so that means the people at starbucks saw me dressed in clothing that was inside out. and my driver never pointed it out either! i felt silly the whole day, and even tried to blame it on my baby, saying she kept me up all night. which was a lie, she slept the whole night, so i feel a little bad trying to throw her under the bus. || @gayovng

Excited chatter is so cute! You can passionately throw any conversation my way. Have you ever met anyone shocked that you don’t have the accent they expect after they’ve watched you on a show or in a movie? I think my accent surprises people. They don’t expect me to sound like that when I speak English. It’s sort of funny seeing their reactions. It’s completely my sister's fault, and she’ll be shouldering that blame eternally! I get so unhinged sometimes about a good book, I’m surprised I don’t scare even more people away! I could devour a few books in one night if I’m determined enough! I’m just grateful she didn’t call the authorities to come and cart me away! Can you imagine trying to explain that one at the next press conference? You’re so sweet! That's such a hilarious story, especially not realising you'd been speaking German the whole time until seeing the lady's reaction. But everyone should have that sort of enthusiasm about books, and the language barrier aside, it's something I'd have found rather refreshing! I just love hearing about the things people are passionate about. Which book was it, out of curiosity? As a parent of young kids, I feel like my embarrassment meter has moved quite a bit and not much fazes me anymore, especially as someone who's gone out with oatmeal in his hair without realising or dressed in mismatched clothing just for being tired and snatching whatever was nearest out of the closet. But the last I remember, and this is because I often speak animatedly to my children, I spoke that way to a store clerk just out of habit and didn't catch myself doing it nearly in time. Of course not, especially since I'm the only usually staring at people rather than the opposite. Sometimes dumbfounded, sometimes to scare them, just depends on my mood. No embarrassing moments to be found. That makes me wonder how many languages you can speak, that you just have them ready to switch up to anyone depending on your excitement level! Oh, I need all the details about this molasses flood! What went down when the flood happened? How long did it last? How on earth did they clean it all up? I am so invested! Did you tell this story in Boston? Because that makes it worse that people had no idea it’d happened! i often spend a lot of time wondering if people know what i'm talking about -- because i get the dumbfounded look a lot thrown my way. usually when i start to ramble about nonsense, so i understand a little where you're coming from! though i also understand where you're coming from when it comes to speaking a whole language to someone that has no clue what you're talking about. growing up in a house that only spoke spanish -- when i was younger, i thought everyone spoke spanish and would just get upset whenever they wouldn't respond back to me. mind you, they weren't responding back because they didn't understand what i was saying, but i didn't realize that back then. so now that i'm older, i feel silly about how i was back then, but i thankfully haven't done that in a while. even though you're embarrassed about what happened -- just imagine the funny story that girl has that she likely went home and told her friends and family about. you probably made her day a whole lot more interesting, so just think of it that way, okay? i've not embarrassed myself silly this week, but there's still some days left, and i'm sure i'm bound to do something stupid that will make people laugh. i'll keep you updated! || @gayovng

i'll be honest with you -- i feel like most of the time people talk to me they're staring at me the whole time dumbfounded. i don't know if they're thinking, how is this man so good looking? or if they're thinking, how is this man so dumb? or i guess it could be a little bit of a both -- they think i'm good looking and dumb, right? i live for saying stupid shit though, mostly because i like to make people laugh. is german your first language? because i'll admit that sometimes my instinct is to always speak in swedish because that's my first language -- and i constantly have to stop myself when i realize i'm in a country that isn't going to understand what i'm saying. but i can understand why you were embarrassed! though given what she does for a living, i feel like she's dealt with a lot stranger things than you speaking to her in german, so you shouldn't feel too silly, okay? i feel like with retail, you deal with a lot of silly stuff.  well, i feel like i embarrassed myself yesterday at the park. i nearly grabbed the wrong child, so i embarrassed myself and nearly had a charge of kidnapping. but i was trying to get my son to stop playing so we could leave, and i bent down to pick up who i thought was his little sister from the sandbox -- and it was very much not his little sister. it turns out my boyfriend was holding my daughter, and thankfully the mother thought it was funny, because that really could have gone a different way. but i was bright red over it! || @gayovng

Now that, I don’t believe for a second. You strike me as quite the conversationalist! If only because you come from an endless family! Teasing, teasing. There isn’t a chance in hell they’re thinking you’re dumb, so it must be your handsome face dumbfounding them! I’m guilty of the same thing sometimes! I love to get a reaction from people. Or to watch them squirm. I do that to my co-stars a lot, right before we start shooting. It’s always fun. I learned German and Korean sort of simultaneously? My parents met and fell in love while working in Germany, and we moved to South Korea when I was ten, but it was German I spoke most of the time. It’s so hard when you forget! And It’s too easy to switch between languages. I never feel confident in any of the languages I speak, but I feel fairly fluent in all of them at the same time?
