And you’re wrong. The only reason this post exists is because most trans women are uncomfortable being called dude and whenever people know that they choose to not listen and instead just scream “Dude is gender neutral” instead of just respecting trans women’s wishes.
@yuckyking-deactivated30163 this post is in no way targeted towards trans women and besides how would you know how a trans woman might feel about calling them dude, and if someone said they were uncomfortable with me calling them dude then i wouldn't go spouting off stupid reasons why dude is gender neutral i would simply say ok and not call them dude. it's as simple as that you don't need to get all pissy and whiny because someone doesn't agree with you. this isn't twitter where your idiotic opinion will either be cradled gently or thrown out a window but if you are immature enough to put such a negative opinion on a lighthearted and non serious post then please just go away

Dude is gendered the same way that Girl is gendered. Just because you use it as a neutral term doesn't mean it is. Plenty of people do not see dude as neutral, nor should they. Using inherently gendered terms for everyone is going to lead to you misgendering someone. If you're okay with your stubborn attachment to using a gendered term leads to you being needlessly hurtful to another person then I guess do you, but do so knowing you are actively perpetuating transphobia. Yes, even if you're trans. It's honestly worse if you're trans. You should know better.
I have always used dude as a gender neutral term, and unless someone tells me they don't like being called dude, I don't see much a of a problem with it. Dude can be used as a gendered term if you're talking about "a dude", but unless you're using the word in a gendered context, it's gender neutral.
Dude is a gendered term full stop. The way girl or lady or sir are all gendered terms. Using them as "neutral" means you will misgender people. If using gendered terms as neutral when they arent is more important to you than not misgendering people, you're being transphobic.
If someone doesn't want to be called dude, they can say so. Dude is gender neutral in a similar way to how guys (referring to a group of people) is gender neutral. It was originally a term used for men, but now can be used for anyone as long as they aren't uncomfortable with it.
I honestly don't see how it's transphobic as long as I'm not calling people dude unless they are ok with being called dude.

ship: morinceiety? (virgil, roman and patton)
characters: virgil, roman, patton, a baby version of logan, and a toddler version of janus
name: toddler time
roman yawned and checked the clock next to the bed, it read 3:30 am. he sighed and got up "hmm whais it princey" patton said quietly "go back to sleep pat, you're delirious" roman said, softly shutting the door as he left. first he peeked into the kids' room, janus was sound asleep but logan wasn't there. he began to panic and went into the living room were he saw virgil, sound asleep on the couch, with logan in his arms, he exhaled softly and went back into the bedroom where patton was still up and waiting for roman to return. roman rolled his eyes and climbed back into bed, patton laid back down and inced closer to roman "patton no, you are not thinking straight, go back to sleep" he hissed but patton didn't back down "literally" patton snickered, roman pushed him away and got up to go sleep on the couch with virgil because he was tired of patton's delirious bullshit that he pulled every night. roman walked swiftly by virgil to lie on the the couch. the soft breeze brushed against virgil's leg, waking him up. virgil held logan tightly when the breeze tickled behind his little ear and making him start to cry "shh, shh it's ok" virgil said in a hushed voice but logan didn't stop crying. virgil began to sing a soft little lullaby, making logan stop crying and go back to sleep, he got up and put logan back in his cradle. he went back in the living room and laid back on the couch, humming the lullaby to himself but then he saw the outline of roman, he got closer to roman but still didn't know it was him "what are you going to do" virgil growled but roman just laughed "roman?" he asked, going to turn on a lamp and saw it was just roman standing there "oh sorry" virgil chuckled nervously "patton is pulling his shit again" roman grumbled "again?" virgil laughed, sitting on the couch "yeah, can i sleep here" roman asked and virgil nodded, laying down and pulling roman over towards him. roman laid on the couch facing virgil.
(the next day)
virgil woke up first, he kissed roman's forehead, waking him up "morning sleepyhead" virgil said smiling, but the smile was wiped off his face when roman wrapped his arms around virgil and kissed him. virgil and roman were tangled up together, gazing into one another's eyes until they kissed again. they didn't hear logan crying or the mailman coming until they finally broke apart. virgil quietly went into the kids' room to go and get logan, to feed him. roman followed virgil into the room but didn't leave, just sat next to janus's bed "daddy?" janus whispered and roman smiled "good morning sweetheart" he said softly "papa said we can go to the history museum today" janus said excitedly "oh is that so, well what did dad say?" roman said but janus shrugged "i think papa has a fun surprise for you" roman said, picking up his oldest and taking him into the living room. janus leaned into roman "papa told dad he had a fun surprise for roman, who's roman" he asked, a bit loud, to where virgil could hear it as he went back into the living room "janus, i'm roman" he chuckled, glancing up at virgil who was blushing furiously "janus, you were supposed to be taking a nap!" virgil said. roman grinned "jan can you put logan in his cradle, you can go play with your toys" roman asked and janus nodded, holding his little arms out for his baby brother, virgil knelt down and gave logan to janus "be Very careful with him" virgil said sternly. roman waited for janus to close the door before he started talking. he stood up, cupping virgil's chin in his hand "what's this about a fun surprise for me" he snickered "i thought he was asleep!" virgil whined "well it isn't a surprise anymore but i don't care" roman snickered

i am on episode 4 season 1 of supernatural (the episodes are really long) and i am already terrified of airplanes so some demon on an airplane crashing spree is terrifying to me especially when i have to go to las vegas, the last week of june. but the series is very addicting and i know it's all cgi and fake but still
