Summary: A circus tent on the edge of the desert, revolvers in red-and-blue leather holsters, wacky characters and rootin' tootin' shootin' action. There's no censor bar here, and nothing digital about this world, only familiar faces in a different world. The violence you crave with characters you love, a Clint Eastwood meets Pomni type situation is brewing in this new adventure! So grab your ten gallon hats, take a seat by the local sheriff's office, and pull your boots on, because Cowgirl Pomni is going on all sorts of adventures to try and find her way out of this never-ending desert that they call home. Watch Jax fumble his way out of shootouts and Ragatha pour beer at the bar, and much, much more in this Wild West adventure.

AU update

To the 2 and a half people waiting for the new chapter of the TADC AU: I'm working on it! It's gotten so big that I decided to split it into 2 chapters. Thank god it's self published or I'd get sacked medieval style by penguin books or something, hot dog.

To the same people waiting, here's a little thing I made for you which is a slight spoiler for the next chapter showing Jax's current state of mind. You can thank Linx for all the art lessons they haven't been giving me for this masterpiece:

TADC Wild West AU Artshow part 4:

"Wanted Man, Annoyed Partner": Possibly the last of the artshow, Linx made many Jax posters because as you can tell, he's one of the most important characters in this story. I LOVE the poster she made. As mentioned in the last artshow post, Jax associates his self worth with being the biggest and baddest outlaw in the west, so he'll tack on a few extra zeroes on his reward price (as well as some clearly unbiased comments, heh).

The last picture is from a scene during Chapter 5 wherein Jax asks Pomni to "help" him with something. He thinks he has RIZZ of all things. Little does he know that he... doesn't. Pomni is more than annoyed that he thinks after all the BS he put her through that she even wants to be around him, let alone do anything salacious with him. Linx and I had a discussion on how the hallway would look like, and she originally envisioned it to be planks of wood hastily put together. I differed and suggested that the Cellar, a bar that acts as the main cast's rooms, would be a little more refined as their base of operations. She liked the idea and I like how it turned out.

There are a LOT of discussions we had and some artwork here and there that she made unprompted of the work after it got started and honestly, I love every one of them. She's really talented and if you get anything out of this, it's that I appreciate the hard work she puts into her drawings on top of everything life has to throw at us. So that ends the artshow! (For now?) I hope you enjoyed it, and I hope you read my little story that I put up on AO3.

Pomni and Ragatha in the Wild West AU Pomni stumbled into town. She has been on the road for as long as she can remember which isn't much. It's all a blur due to mostly dehydration. After meeting Ragatha at the local saloon, she decided to stay, doing odd jobs around town. Ragatha on the other hand has been there for a very long time, owning the town's saloon. Being a barkeep also means taking on dozens of other little jobs like dealing with Jax or listening to Kinger ramble on about his wife.

TADC Western AU Artshow 3:

Designs: Obviously concept art/sketches on how Linx (and I) think the characters would look like. If you look at the bottom right of the second image, you'll see my tumblr portrait! :)

In every image, Jax is being a little shit, but that's just him. I don't have much to say about these, but I have some behind-the-scenes fun facts. Linx was having an (understandably) hard time figuring out how to put a cowboy hat on Zooble/how it would be oriented properly, so she left it out, which influenced me to just straight up not give them a hat. Because of this, their main physical trait besides their OG design is their trench coat and how they shoot their four guns through it with their many busy hands.

The whiskey in Ragatha's eye as a backstory is mostly a joke, although I wouldn't rule out that she gets whiskey in her eye every so often as a bartender. Also, Pomni missing her gloves is intentional, as she never adopted gloves during her firearm training so she straight up doesn't think of having any unless something in the future changes.

The wanted poster in Zooble's hand vaguely resembles Jax, although he doesn't have a bounty that big (yet?). This is because by Zooble's account, despite being a bounty hunter, doesn't want to turn in Jax until he gets a high enough bounty, which he has made his goal for much of his life.

Gangle was the second least cemented out of the group in terms of looks to Kinger, except for the fact that she wears a Victorian style frilly dress. This was completely Linx's idea and a great call.

All in all, I often go back to these pictures to ground my mind when I have writer's block on the story and smile at how my friend decided to interpret my words in (their unique) visual manner. It also reminds me of how lucky I am to know someone this talented and this nice. Reach out to people. Sometimes it'll be worth your while for a long time.
