Honey tea spoons are back 🍯🐝🍯🐝🍯 I love pulling these out of the kiln! Our Honey Caramel glaze, shows off the honeycomb texture really well, warm and cozy 🤗 Perfect for an evening cup of tea ☕ I make each little spoon by hand.... First I texture the clay in a really small area, then cut out a spoon-ish shape. Then I use a small bit of olive oil on my thumb to round out the "bowl" portion of the spoon, making sure to elongate the end a bit, while gently lifting it up, being sure to not bend the clay near the joint of the bowl and handle area. This can cause warping later during the drying and firing process. I smooth over the edges with a bit more olive oil, making sure to remove any gritty areas, so it will have a soft mouth feel once fired. Still trucking along here in the studio. Not a ton has changed for us. Working from home has been our thing for several years.
