they silenced him because he's queer and in love with cas. the censorship is what reveals the obvious. the fact that they had no where else to go with this story, that it was either "finish this arc or chicken out" is in itself the biggest clue. and they chickened out, they silenced him so part of the viewership that wasn't on board with destiel gets an "out" - they can ignore it a bit more easily that way. but don't confuse this with a correct and equally valid interpretation of canon. it doesn't follow any logic or reason. the truth is that cas loves dean and dean loves cas
