“Ah!” The man said, “So this is the contraption to take us into the future? Facinating!” It was of course very fascinating indeed. King Morven looked from the machine to Blake, “Admiral, so we are to make this journey together.”

“Artemis couldn’t so I will in her place.” Blake nodded.

“Just as well, I learned about it through a little bird and thought it would be fun to go, see how my Kingdom fairs. Learn from mistakes.” Morven walked up to Ali standing two inches below her height. “I am King Morven of the Red Kingdom of Underland. You must be Alice Starkey?” He glanced at Blake for confirmation.

“Yes and beside her is Jay of the Hunter’s guild.”

“Vampire killers?” Morven questioned a glimmer in his eyes.

Kirona rubbed her head in stress

"you know, as my knights, priests and helpers you're supposed to make my job LESS stressful right?" Kirona asked looking around the room she looked at Emma

"perhaps you should invite Brody to help you and your students today? Perhaps it will make him feel a bit better?"

“when Silas took over, as you know he was making a big deal of wiping put magic,” kirona told him “and that started with much of the forest kingdom, shifters even in underland are almost extinct or at least well hidden enough that they can’t be found” kirona explained to him she looked at him sadly

“Avery and his brothers were part of a large battle against Silas and we’re caught, they simply didn’t have the numbers. Emily even at such a young age brought together a group to try and save them…but again it simply.. luck wasn’t on her side I’m afraid” kirona said sighing

“Silas and his men wiped them out as well as their father, destroying what was left of the forest kingdom.” Kirona explained she paused for a moment letting the news sink in

Broderick felt like the air was gone from all around him as he dropped to his feet. He covered his face, and sobbed Emily? Little Emily? Avery? Martin? Shawn? Even Matthias? All of them gone! Surely at least he could be comforted by his love, “Mal?” He asked hoarsely. “Tell me my love is alive? At least let that be a comfort!”

Kirona didn’t answer holding back her own tears at the sight of this poor man who now stood Broken before her

“Mal is also gone,” kirona told him softly “the Jones children were wiped out by the vampires except for Mira who joined them instead.” Kirona said softly should she tell him how it happened like with Emily and her family? Or should she keep it just that short and sweet? The added safety of the new vlad

Broderick stayed there sobbing at the loss of his beloved the loss of what may as well have been his little girl. Her family, the innocencts that had been lost. “I need to be alone.” He told Kirona. “I need to be alone.”

Kirona nodded and gently touched his shoulder

“you know where to find me,” she told him she was tempted to lead him towards their graves but she was also certain he would likely find them on his own, she had buried Mal and his family with Emily and hers they had practically been family any way just minus the blood relation.

Kirona headed off for the reunion leaving Brody to himself when she returned she did notice upon her arrival that she was not the only one missing

“I don’t know,” was a collective response.

Kirona looked over them all and shook her head they were all such children, what had they signed up for?

“Chronos is missing too,” Emma said looking around “he probably took morven to meet Talir”

Perhaps Daniel was just a bit bitter, his uncle and his uncle’s murderer were standing in the same room together completely unaware

Rather than accepting the hug he simply smiled and nodded to Vlad trying to play nice.

“it’s nice to see you vlad, forgive me if I’ve learned to drop the formality” Daniel asked him if it had been just about anyone else he would have accepted the hug however he was worried about having a knife in his back

Emma stayed near the door almost spying on the scene, she felt rather shy, the idea of seeing her father for the first time since she was a child was nerve wracking and she had no idea how Lottie and Thomas did it so easily

Ponyo smiled at them and hugged them as if she had known them all her life

“wonderful! You must be the twins nivens predicted. I can’t wait to tell your father I’ve gotten to meet you and how wonderful you both are” she said with a soft laugh

“Oh of course,” Vlad nodded. “I’m so glad to see you safe and alive.” He meant it.

Blake looked down a bit sad that there was no warm greeting for him till Ben looked to his sister, “Em’s come on if they could,” he gestured to the Starkey twins, “why not us?” Ben walked up to Blake and held out his hand, “My name is Benjamin, I’m an Admiral in the Royal Navy, your son.”

Blake took Ben’s hand and shook it then pulled him in for a hug, “My boy, look at you.”

“My sister the shy one over there, Emma, is my older sister.”

Blake looked to Emma and held open his arms.

“hello,” she said softly “I’m emma, I’m a tutor here at the temple for the refugees. Sorry I don’t have as much of an important job as been does” she wasn’t sure what else to say, she helped Ben as best she could but felt she was far more needed by the little ones

“That’s Wonderful,” Blake swelled with pride his children were so intelligent and kind. “Your Mum would be proud of you.” Blake cupped his daughter’s face, “you look like your Grandmother, my Mother.” He smiled, “You look more like a Flint,” he told Ben.

“Don’t I know it, there have been occasions where people think I’m Lysander from behind. Though to be honest cousin Lottie is the most Flint looking of all of us.” Ben smiled.

It was Morvenna’s turn to feel the most left out until a gangly not much taller youth dressed in black embraced her. “Aunt Morvenna!” Chronos grinned gleefully. “You’re here!”

“ya but queen cottontail doesn’t have as nice of a ring to it” Jay piped in his arm slung over his not-so-little nephews shoulders Trenton smiled and looked to all those getting along so wonderfully,he to felt left out but to see the beaming smile on Horatio’s face as he looked to Daniel with such pride, it made his heart swell with joy but also made him fear what in this future may take it all away. He looked to Brody and smiled

“I wonder where your little princess is,seems you and I are the only ones who haven’t gotten to join the party”

“Indeed,” maybe Emily was off doing important princess work? Or Avery was teaching her? Where was Mal? What had happened?

Emma looked to Ali and saw the look on her face as Ali looked anywhere but at Brody and Trenton, recognizing what they may be speaking of she sighed

Kirona was quick to realize as well and approached Brody with a small smile

"perhaps you and I should speak privately?" She suggested the blow would cut deep and she didn't wish to make a scene on such happy occasion

“Ok,” he went and grabbed some medicine going to his Mother with it. “Here this should keep down the Nausea.” Lysander helped clean Morven’s boots. “There we have to wait for Ali to get back as she will know what would be the best way to disembark for everyone involved.”

Ali returned then and smiled to the goddess

“I trust your family that unless you had a good reason they wouldn’t be here” kirona assured her she looked to Daniel who had followed as well

“you behave I know there are a lot of buried feelings here and if you can’t control them you’ll have to go back to the guild with saige” kirina warned him and Daniel nodded

Horatio hugged Daniel well much older Daniel, “oh sweet boy look at you look at how you’ve grown!”

Vlad smiled, “Indeed you look as though Saige has done well in raising you.”

The twins looked to Ali for permission to meet Ponyo.

"what are you looking at me for? I've met her you two are adults aren't you?" Ali asked laughing a little bit as she leaned on the doorframe a bit unable to help herself from grinning ear to ear

Daniel smiled and hugged Horatio

"it's great to see you all," Daniel said Ali wouldn't have brought him here of he was dangerous so Daniel chose to play nice this time knowing this was the Vlad that had helped to save him in Transylvania.

“Ah!” The man said, “So this is the contraption to take us into the future? Facinating!” It was of course very fascinating indeed. King Morven looked from the machine to Blake, “Admiral, so we are to make this journey together.”

“Artemis couldn’t so I will in her place.” Blake nodded.

“Just as well, I learned about it through a little bird and thought it would be fun to go, see how my Kingdom fairs. Learn from mistakes.” Morven walked up to Ali standing two inches below her height. “I am King Morven of the Red Kingdom of Underland. You must be Alice Starkey?” He glanced at Blake for confirmation.

“Yes and beside her is Jay of the Hunter’s guild.”

“Vampire killers?” Morven questioned a glimmer in his eyes.

“I never said that, but Daniel we need to talk” Ali said she looked to lysander

“you take care of mum and king cotton, I’ll see if I can get everyone together to discuss a few things” Ali said she hoped she could dose the flames of their arrival before it had time to burn

“Ok,” he went and grabbed some medicine going to his Mother with it. “Here this should keep down the Nausea.” Lysander helped clean Morven’s boots. “There we have to wait for Ali to get back as she will know what would be the best way to disembark for everyone involved.”

“why? What’s the big deal?” Jay asked curious

“in this time period a lot of is are dead and gone fighting in the war against Silas” ponyo explained to him “so to have a parade of dead people walking through the temple could give someone a heart attack”

“Would it help if I was in this form?” Morvenna asked longer white hair falling from her head she seemed even shorter than before. “I doubt many know me in this form.”

Daniel helped Ali gather the goddess and the others that were usually around temple

“you brought Vlad?!” Solann asked completely in shock

Lysander looked to his Mother, “I cannot wait for you to meet everyone Mum.”

“Mum is here?” The twins were excited.

Ponyo nodded a little bit and smiled

“I can’t wait to meet your friends,” ponyo told him squeezing her sons hand

“what should we know about being here? The non specifics so we can stay out if trouble?”

“yes and so are Vlad, morven, Blake, Trenton, Jay and Horatio” Ali told them thinking to see if there was anyone she missed"

Lysander wracked his brain for the important things then told them. “I think that should cover it.”

“So they are aboard the Poe now? Well when can we meet them?” Lottie asked.

“actually they’re in the med bay, look the point of doing this was to show Horatio why he needs to help us convince dante to come back to the future it us, things won’t change u til Dante does.” Ali told them hoping to focus on their mission at least a little

“if you can think of anything that will help get that point across then please help”

“well this is a surprise,” kirona mused smiling as she walked into the sick bay even with all the times he had met her at the temple Trenton almost didn’t recognize the goddess

“it’s nice to see you kirona” he said with a smile Kirona nodded

“so my knights are back so soon?”

“Yes, though not for good, we are back with some friends from the past.” Lysander smiled to her.

Horatio waved enthusiastically, “hullo!”

"that guy that was hanging from the rafters was Daniel?" Trenton asked kirona nodded

"and I'm sure you'll enjoy getting to know your future family as well if they choose to reveal themselves to you, time travel is so tricky sometimes they may not want to risk telling you"

Ali returned then and smiled to the goddess

"hello kirona, I hope you don't mind-"

"I trust your family that unless you had a good reason they wouldn't be here" kirona assured her she looked to Daniel who had followed as well

"you behave I know there are a lot of buried feelings here and if you can't control them you'll have to go back to the guild with saige" kirina warned him and Daniel nodded

“don’t thank aunt ponyo yet, we have a long way to go” Emma joked Solann rolled his eyes annoyed by the joke

“Solann!” She hugged him too pulling away quickly though before looking to her brother. “Where is it you said the rum was kept? One of the injured needs to be operated on,” She had been taught by Lily her Great Aunt in all manner of medicine and fighting. “We’ve run out of anesthesia.”
