I'm curious: how do you embed AO3 links on Tumblr? Since some months ago, something happened that AO3, and only AO3, isn't recognized as a valid link here. I remember finding an alternative way that required reblogging a "wrong" post and then manually embedding the link, but I don't remember how it works anymore :\ and it's very frustrating.

You're right: when I make a "link" post instead of a "text" post and manually put the Ao3 link in there, Tumblr doesn't embed it at all; it just becomes a string of text that doesn't link anywhere.

However, Ao3 itself comes to the rescue! There's a "share" button in each work, that allows you to share your work with Twitter and Tumblr with a hyperlink, all the tags plus other info, and the summary.

However, there is one sucky thing about this: it will only ever share the link to the first chapter. So if you're uploading a new chapter in a multi-chapter fic and you use the share button, the link you get will always lead to the first chapter. (I checked it with Change of Heart just now; even if I am at the 3rd chapter and I press the share button, the link the screen gives me will lead to chapter 1.) That's why for New Beginnings I began putting the hyperlinks of each individual chapter in "link" posts... but I guess that doesn't work anymore!😩

But for one-shots, the share button from Ao3 has not let me down before!🍀 ...But I do wish Tumblr would fix this XD I wonder why it's Ao3 links specifically, and why it still works to embed the link if done with the share button on that website?

It really bugs me that media has told us a migraine is 'just a headache'. I've just had a multiple-day migraine and my boss and colleagues are super nice in checking in, but they're all asking whether 'my headache is better yet'. (And it is, I'm just riding the hangover)

I don't have a headache, I have an everythingache. I'm not light-sensitive because there is no darkness dark enough to not hurt like a drill into my face. I'm not wearing socks because the skin on my ankles hurts when it's touched. I can't walk straight, but never mind since I'm curled over the toilet anyway. I'm so bored, but thinking makes me sick again.

Personally, I've played a ton of FRLG romhacks so despite this likely going to have HOME connectivity at some point, it's not particularly worth it 😵‍💫

The Japanese Pokemon Center is releasing a special anniversary box tho to go with this announcement. Comes with a download card, replica FRLG boxes and decorative, light-up glass balls featuring the Kanto starters!
