“never because you are a little angel.” grace spoke with a soft smile. she laughed and nodded her head. “i love the sound of that, also we now have a tattoo artist coming, so everyone’s gonna have to sign a waiver when they come in stating whatever they do, it’s their fault, not mine.”

his eyes rolled as he fought back the urge to say if it’s gonna be lame you’ll need me to make it better . even if it was true he still shouldn’t go , “ it’s alright i’ll survive , my sister has been making fun of me since she crawled out the womb first . ” he laughed grabbing the remote to her tv to click through varius pages . “ should we watch the one where vanessa hudgens is a princess , the one where cristina milian falls in love on a beach or this movie with lindsey lohan . i didn’t see much past lohan , i used to have a huge crush on her in middle school . ” 

“that’s what sisters are for.” not that grace would really know she was an only child, but she figured that’s what she saw more often than not. she came back and sat next to kaiden, hot cocoa and cookies in hand. she laid them out on the table in front of them on a tray. “help yourself.” she told him and looked at the screen. “ooooh let’s do the new lohan one, i still haven’t seen that and i’m ashamed of myself.”

grace was already nervous for the plan, but fuck it, she wanted the tattoo so she was going to get the tattoo. “i don’t blame you, i have very nice nipples.” she laughed. “oh my god, that’d be so cute! we can get matching piercings! our friendship nip piercings.” she said with a little laugh. “this is gonna be painful but fun.”

“mmm that’s true. we’re both icons really. you’re a jaramillo and i dated a jaramillo and survived. i’d say that makes us pretty badass.” she laughed. though she doubted anyone questioned whether or not mafe was badass, but she knew they questioned whether she was, not that she could blame them. “i’m honestly so happy for you mafe, if anyone deserves love it’s you. and i’m glad cam is sorting out his bad boy ways to make you happy. you’re keeping my cold turning heart still beating.” she poured them both a glass of wine and passed mafe’s to her. “oh he knows.” she said with a firm nod.

“a haircut? no. i live for my hair. but a piercing, that i could be down for. maybe i should get my nipples pierced. and fuck it, i’ll get a tattoo at the same time. something under my ribs.” she nodded her head. “i’m absolutely going to need you there holding my hand. hope you don’t mind seeing a nipple.”

jordan did their best to hide a grimace at the other’s words. they were not a party person in the slightest, but they knew if they were going to make friends; they had to try. to push themselves out of their comfort zone. “can’t remember the last time i went to house party.” more than likely one she had been forced to. “so long as you can assure there’s some soft drinks too? pretty sure i’m gonna be a lightweight so probably best to pace myself.” they mused with a soft chuckle.

“there’ll be soft drink and non-alcoholic drinks, for if you wanna join in but don’t want the alcohol content. honestly, there’ll probably be a few people not drinking there so don’t worry about being left out- you won’t be.” grace promised. “it’ll just be really fun and a chance for us all to let our hair down for a little while.”

amalie let out a small laugh, shooting a quick wink at her friend. “oh don’t worry, babe, you know i’ve got you.” there were very few things for which ami could be reliably counted upon, but an interesting experience would always be one of them. from the latest designer drugs to concerningly authentic-looking fake ids to live animals, there was always something for her to bring to the table. “i’ve been playing with a new mix, i think you’ll like it. low key, but makes you feel incredible.” she was practically beaming with pride, her personal experiments having gone well. 

every brunette needed their blonde, and amalie was hers. grace would move mountains for amalie. “i know you’ve always got me.” and she meant that, amalie was one of those people she trusted without hesitation. the two girls looked out for each other.  grace would never suggest amalie do something that wasn’t in her best interest and she knew it to be vice versa too. “ooooh, i love feeling incredible, have you got any to try ahead of time. you know, a little sample before the big party?”

“yeah why not, we’re both hot enough to allow ourselves a decent carb loaded meal.” she grinned. she loved hanging out with mafe, she was her best friend, they’d been through thick and thin together. maybe in another life they could’ve even become sisters, if her and pepa had worked out. but that wasn’t a place grace wanted to let her mind sink to. “you managed to get cameron hemmings in a monogamous relationship? go on girl, i’m so proud of you.” she smiled. “i think love is always worth it. if he makes you happy then let yourself be happy with him. and if it comes around to bite you in the ass, i will find him and chop every one of his fingers off for hurting you.”

“ it’s okay . ” he grinned with a shrug , not too long ago he would have said yes without a doubt , he couldn’t fault her for forgetting his newly found sobriety . “ i might just skip this one , me and parties haven’t found a way to mix yet but we can watch movies as long as you don’t judge me if i cry . i don’t know what it is about christmas movies , they always get me right in the heart . ”

“yeah of course. and don’t worry, i’m sure it’ll be lame anyway and you’ll be so glad you stayed at home.” she said with a small smile. “oh i’m absolutely going to judge you and make fun of you if you cry and you’re just going to have to deal with it.” she teased. “but then again there’s a very high likelihood i’ll be there crying with you.” she admitted. “okay i’m gonna make the hot cocoa and you’re going to choose the christmas movie.”

“could there even be a better person to welcome me, if you’re in the club then i’m so glad to be here.” grace looked at her and then looked down at her clothes. “fuck, i kinda do dress like i’m running for office don’t it?” she sighed.

“exactly what i was thinking. because fuck it, who doesn’t like to let loose and shake their ass a bit you know ?” she spoke with a big grin. the way she was looking at it was she was the new and improved grace that didn’t care what anyone thought of her, and didn’t spend every waking minute worried that she was going to hurt someone’s feelings and she loved it. “oh absolutely! i’ll be the first in line.” she smiled. “that’s actually really cool, and then everyone can have my party etched on their skin forever. what a fun night!”

a party      at mafe’s    was       always     a      fun time ,       plenty of girls     and      plenty     of     drugs     :      his twin liked      to       make people believe      that she      was    sober      and      living her best life ,      only one     of      those things        were factual      and      it certainly       wasn’t her       being sober .       though      what surprises him      (     there isn’t      much that      surprises pepa     at      this point ,    in    his    life    )      out     of      everything ,      is gracie      hitting      the bottle       a little harder      than      she should .       he grabs      the tequila bottle      from       the back   ,       holding it     to      his chest       ❛ don’t you think   ,       you should      slow down       a bit ? ❜       he inquired ,       tilting his head      to      the side . 

grace was letting loose for the first time in a long ass time. she’d spent her whole life being sensible and trying to maintain this perfect image, only to always have it backfire on her. now she was pissed and wanted to drown her sorrows but not in a sad way, more drown them so they didn’t exist and she could shake her ass to some music. she was downing tequila from the bottle at mafe’s party, dancing around and laughing when she felt hands all over her, not even caring who’s they were. what she did care about however was the bottle being pried from her arms. “hey!” she huffed, spinning round to see who it was. “pepa! give it back!” she demanded. “don’t you think you telling me to slow down is extremely hypocritical?” she asked, her head tilting to the side. “gimme back my bottle and dance with me.” she moved a step closer to him, her hand running down his toned arms, squeezing at the muscle. “haven’t you missed dancing with me?” she asked with a small pout to her lips.

star  had  never  had  an  issue  with  grace  ,  her  feelings  of  inferiority  and  hatred  all  directed  inwards  .  watching  maddox  and  grace  getting  along  had  barely  hurt  her  ,  she  had  never  loved  maddox  ,  just  thought  that  she  had  ruined  him  .  surprised  by  the  comment  ,  green  gaze  turning  up  with  interest  ,  “  it  depends  if  you’re  going  to  have  fun  with  me  ,  gracie  …  “  invitational  but  nothing  unexpected  from  her  

grace had let her heart get carried away with her for a while, a mistake she’d make sure never happened again. besides, despite it all, grace liked star, she thought she was fun and didn’t deserve what grace had helped attribute to. no matter if it was real or not, no one deserved to watch the person they were with lust over someone else. it was shitty. “well i figure i owe you, and i’m excited to see what sort of fun you could bring me.”
