I GOT TO CUDDLE A CUTE 2-MONTH OLD TODAY FOR LIKE AN HOUR.

He fell asleep on my shoulder so I got to cuddle him and let his Mom have a break.

She did revolutionary things, like dishes and going to the bathroom and playing with her two-year-old who's missing his one-on-one time.

On a note that’s perhaps only connected in my head, part of why I didn’t post this immediately was that Dioscurean Twins had a birthday coming up and this picture is Mycroft-related. Her fics really made the relationship between the Holmes brothers come alive for me. I wanted to share it in honor of the day. I need someone to write a fic of this.

Sherlock and Greg were involved in a S&M type relationship before the fall. When Sherlock comes back he still wants a relationship with Greg but because of the pain and torture he had been through he isn’t interested in the S&M lifestyle anymore and he doesn’t know how to tell Greg he wants him but just not in the same way. So he pulls away entirely. But Greg figures it out and goes to him because he doesn’t care how their relationship works as long as there is one. Because for Greg the entire time wasn’t about inflicting pain, it was about being with Sherlock in whatever way he could. And for being a genius Sherlock is quite the idiot for never realising that Greg loved HIM and not the way the played. Because Sherlock is an idiot.

The downside of spending 2+ hours video-chatting with someone (a very, very awesome someone) is that once they go to bed, there is no one to talk to.

The solution is obviously to walk around the grocery store chattering to oneself.

This is so important. When people talk about how online friendships aren’t ‘real’ or ‘important’, I want to give them the thousands of hours worth of chat logs that I’ve sent to online friends over the years. I want to show them my plans to go to America to see a friend who’s closer to me than most of my friends in the UK. I want to explain to them the times the friends online have seen me through rough times.

But I also want nothing to do with them, because they’re clearly very boring/know nothing.

Not only that, but some people just struggle more to talk about things out loud that they feel more comfortable typing. I don't have a word for it, but there are things I just can't talk about out loud, or am not comfortable with, but typing is a whole different story. It's saved my life more than once, having people to 'type' to.

Honestly, I’m really only interested in soulmate AUs with alternative plots.

I don’t really care about person A and person B who have each other’s names on their wrists and find each other and live happily ever after. I care about a culture where people don’t bother forming romantic relationships with anyone other than their soulmate, where they finally find their soulmate and realize they don’t know how to handle the ups and downs of a relationship.

I care about people who fall in love with someone who isn’t their soulmate and aren’t willing to leave.

I care about queer people who are outed by the names on their arms, about trans people who spend their whole lives worrying that their birth name will be on their soulmate’s arm, then sobbing in relief when it’s not.

I care about people in poly relationships and how that looks.

I care about asexual aromantic people who have a name anyway and wonder if they’re broken or if it’s the platonic soulmate they’ve always wanted.

I care about people who Google their soulmate and are disappointed by what they find. I care about the private detective agencies that rake in cash to help people find their soulmates. I care about the ways non-soulmate couples are discriminated against, from disapproving grandmas to insurance companies that won’t insure someone’s spouse unless they’re their soulmate. I care about teenagers who are devastated that their celebrity crush isn’t their soulmate and what happens when the media discovers a young, unknown person whose soulmate is hugely famous.

I care about the people who never meet their soulmates, whose soulmates died young, whose soulmates have another name on their arms.

I care about the ways that this is a broken system, how it fucks people up, how it doesn’t guarantee a happy ending and how people find their happy endings anyway.

I think part of the reason Sherstrade stays more in the shadows than Mystrade is because Sherlock is 'involved' in Johnlock and I know some hardcore Johnlock shippers that can't read anything that pairs Sherlock with anything else/can't ship him with anyone else, so. That might have something to do with it?

I've had a couple people try to argue lately (against rarepairs) with 'BUT WHAT ABOUT THE CANON?!' when it comes to rarepairs and it's like...fanfic isn't always about the canon.

Fanfic is about playing in a sandbox and if that means you write something other people find ridiculous or wouldn't've come up with in a thousand years, more power to you.

I have a longfic in mind/in planning that's going to fuck everything up and I can't wait to destroy people with it, so.

As you are probably aware, library materials are labeled with barcodes as well as a number to determine their location on the shelf, as per the Dewey Decimal System. The books just to the left of the manga are labeled, as are the DVDs just in view on the lower shelf. Look even further behind these shelves and you’ll see that even those books are labeled! 

Ladies and gentlemen of the courtroom, I invite you to take a closer look at the volumes that are, allegedly, part of this law library! Something is missing from the spines, isn’t there?

Where are the bar codes?!

This is a blatant contradiction! The OP is lying— these volumes cannot, therefore, be a part of this library at all! I propose that they simply brought these materials in for the sake of the joke!!

Only focusing on one aspect and not the whole of the issue, are we, Mr. Wright? Typical.

Your honor, if you bring your attention to the books just left of the manga, you’ll notice there’s a book (the second to the left) that also does not have a bar code.

If you examine the picture even closer—particularly the DVDs below—you’ll see that they bear bar codes, but not on the spines. No, they have them on the back and/or front of the DVDs. Of course, this method of labeling and organizing isn’t limited to products of the film industry alone.

Therefore, I’d like to propose that it is entirely possible that the manga books do, in fact, belong to the library!

While that may be true, you’ve also overlooked one critical error: the titles of the books! Whether or not your hypothesis regarding the labeling system is correct, these titles aren’t alphabetized correctly! What kind of self-respecting librarian would misplace such vital books?

While it pains me to have to point out something so obvious, I suppose I’ll make an exception for you, Wright.

Clearly, one look at the titles of the books next to the manga is a tell-all of this certain library’s less-than-stellar organization skills. None of the books are in alphabetical order, I’m afraid.

They could very well be alphabetized by author and not title, but it’s a little difficult to be able to decipher that from this single picture, wouldn’t you say?

Furthermore, the manga books themselves are in numerical order, suggesting some kind of system is in place, albeit not a very good one, if the alphabetizing is off.

At the end of the day, it seems like neither of us can draw a clear conclusion from this evidence alone. Your honor, I strongly suggest a recess in which we could investigate the library itself further.

We investigated further into the photo. Zooming in, you can see a label on the DVD case to the bottom left.

As you can see, pal, you can vaguely see the words “Of Toledo Law Library” on the label!

And, considering possibilities of the rest of that label, “University of Toledo" was the first to come to my mind!

A quick search on the University of Toledo’s Online Law Library Database revealed that there ARE the comics pictured in it!

Miles Edgeworth Ace Attorney Investigations volumes 1-4 and Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney volumes 1-5!

And there’s more! 

The section these comics are filed under is the “Law in Popular Culture" Section, which matches up with the stickers on the rest of the books on that shelf: "Lowering the Bar: Lawyer Jokes & Legal Culture”, “Prime Time Law”, “Lawyers in Your Living Room!" and "Reel Justice: The Courtroom Goes to the Movies”!

Not only is it in the right section, it’s also a documented part of the Law Library’s database!

How’s that for decisive evidence?
