Tunggu pula tidak berjumpa,

Di dalam hati sedikit tak lupa.”

Translation from Malay:

“Eid-ul-Fitr greetings

It’s not that I do not wish to come visit,

To celebrate Eid even for a day,

It’s just that my leave was not approved,

So only this card will arrive in my place.

Permit the food and drink mistakenly consumed,

Forgive my wrong acts and words,

Though we are not able to meet,

You are remembered in my thoughts.
