I completely lost any motivation to make any fanart and edits and shitpost memes of joker out especially that I used to make all the time partly cause I’ve been really struggling with my mental health in recent months

also under the cut I’m gonna have a small life update but first: part of the reason im like not very active on here is cause Ive moved to like TikTok and instagram in may I think, cause with how my mental state is at the moment those are easier to navigate for me, I would like post my usernames ön those here incase like following people on those would be an option but they are like my full actual name and like there’s a lot of things that link me to my school and like the exact area i live in and like my family so I don’t think that would be the smartest thing ever 😅

so my mental health has gotten worse generally recently, and I’ve been put on medication that 1. I don’t want to be ön and 2. Does fuck all. but hopefully if I take it for longer I might get better
the decline in my mental health has made me like literally only be doing school, gym, dinner, walk, phone, sleep, repeat every day so I literally have no motivation to be creative in the fandom spaces I used to take part in
Ive been looking for jobs (to zero success) finally had my first interview a few weeks ago, got rejected then everything went from bad to worse and again, not gonna go into too much detail but then I got another interview yesterday! And I should be finding out if I got the job or not today! It’s in a bar which does kind of sound terrifying but it’s a job at least and my friend works there already so I have someone to help me out
I’ve also been insanely busy with school doing AS levels, lots of studying and art coursework had to be done… not fun, I have definitely failed all of them which is definitely not helping the mental stuff
there’s also been the usual like teenage boy troubles but that’s not very significant, like it’s just I like a guy, I tell my friends, they convince me he likes me back, he gets a girlfriend, I cry, repeat. It’s gotten so bad I like an English guy 😬 (joking btw the English are grand, and he’s more than grand if you get what I mean 😏)
it may be that I haven’t actually been that inactive as long as I thought I had been but I do know before I basically completely stopped using the site I had slowed down a lot ön the posts but I felt like I had to explain myself a wee bit at least cauae I do feel really bad that I just like stopped interacting with so many people so abruptly

If you happen to teach undergrads as a teaching assistant, you will be given a certain amount of latitude depending on the gig. Sometimes they’ll just have you taking notes on attendance and not otherwise be interacting with the students much, sometimes you’ll grade, give lectures, and have flexibility in attendance policies and rubrics. These tend to involve more work, but are also more rewarding.
When they assign you to high-responsibility postings, you’ll also have a fair amount of independence. Usually this situation arises because you’re teaching lab sections for a course with several hundred students in the lecture, and the professor has neither the time nor the inclination to read through everything that the students are doing with chemical titration or mineral identification or whatever. They’ll tell you what to teach, provide some slides and some worksheets, tell you what grade distribution to vaguely expect, and then let you do your thing. They’ll mostly hear about you if something goes really well, or really badly.
So here’s the thing. You will, absolutely, get in trouble for going off-book and giving the students an extra credit option to collect a large number of dead scorpions. But it won’t be that much trouble, especially if you play the naive grad student card, and it’ll take a couple weeks for the rumor mill to jump from students in your section to students in someone else’s section to another TA to the professor. So you’ll have plenty of time to collect all your ill-gotten scorpion gains, and explain to your students about stimulated emission and coherence in light and how scorpion chitin is capable of a weak phosphorescence. And sure, the powers that be can scold you a little bit, but for the rest of your life you’ll always get to be the teacher who collaborated with their class to build a scorpion-powered laser.
