Anywho apparently the 90° heat was not the biggest worry it was the damn THUNDERSTORM that got us all kicked out and lost our great spot in the fan pit😞

Oh man what a day! It started off great I met up with @formulalakana to get my JO secret Santa gift, which I’m so thankful for and can’t wait to get home and hang it up! (Thankfully I put it in the car and it was not damaged by the rain)
I headed to the venue after one to wait for North and Chantal and their whole party (I am horrendous with names I apologize to everyone else I was with😭) while there I got my fan pit number ((not that it actually mattered when we went to line up)) we were all given these chocolate bars for free while we waited by the staff and they were really tasty! I then did my green clown makeup in line when they opened the doors at 3pm.
I was able to sneak in a large vitamin water cause they barely checked bags, so I was super thankful for that. But I did have to wait in the merch line for 30-45+ minutes. I got the Demoni CD, JO logo patch, 4 specialty cups, and temporary tattoos (one of which I used the rain to apply🙂↕️)
I got so much Jure art and beautiful bracelets from so many people and I’m so thankful nothing got ruined in the rain (just wet and lil warped) ((please don’t mind that Matteo and Marcelo the mice are naked they are drying off too)) this picture doesn’t even show Chantal’s damn near ENTIRE sticker collection she gave me that I am cherishing deeply!
I also got an ice cream and 2 JO ice teas and some fries (all in all for drinks and food I spent about €25) it was ((shocker)) hot as all hooliehonkers so my forehead paint did sweat off a bit but overall stayed put. They also had hopscotch that you could do to get a free fan.
At 5:30pm we started lining up for the fan pit, and I got second row from barricade on the right. At this point the clouds are rolling in, but everyone is just happy it’s not the direct sun anymore. About 6:20pm it starts to sprinkle and soon starts POURING on us. But no one is telling us to leave so we stick it out. The opening band sadly only got 1 song in before the venue kicked EVERYONE out. They were telling us they were worried about the stage falling from the crazy wind.
We all funnel out and got to julika’s (sorry idk your @) hostel across the street and tried to dry off. Thank you Denis for all the extra towels and cleaning up the water after all of us🤌 While we were drying off we get told by someone that stayed closer to the venue after less than an hour were letting people in since the rain stopped. Mind you it was still FLOODED and they were worried about electricity problems. Well we all hurry up and drop our wet stuff in the car and head back to the venue.
At this point I’m barefoot, my power bank isn’t working so I have 30% left and I’m still damp. I break from North and Chantal to wiggle my way to a good spot (since we lost ours from earlier) after moving around a lot to get a good spot that didn’t have a fuck ass cymbal in front of Jure pretty face, I ended up on the left side near the end of the cat walk 4 rows in.
Käärijä was already playing when we got there so I only caught Cha Cha Cha. Devito came out for 2 (?) songs and then left. They very quickly then prepped for JO and in came the marching band playing Novi Val. The guys even though it was not a great start to the gig were hyped that the show was able to go on and made sure to still give us everything they had!
During Plastika which was only like the fourth song the sound went out so no guitar or vocals. The crowd of course stepped in to sing and Jure kept playing. It lasted into the half of the next song before it was fixed. (Also during this time they were trying to fix the right big screen that was only half working due to water damage. They were able to get it going quickly though)
The gig itself was fucking insane! All the performers were absolutely STUNNING and the costumes for them were gorgeous! I caught myself starring at them instead of the guys multiple times.
Like I mentioned above Bojan’s pants ripped by Ngvot which was only like an hour in. By the end of the night his right pant leg was completely ripped all the way around holding on my the outer seam. The left was ripped around the crotch as well, a rip on his upper butt cheek/pocket and left front knee. Nace also ripped his pants in the ass/crotch region which meant he stayed back behind his mic the whole night minus Novi Val at the end.
I did like that they all matched pattern wise, but I was hoping for more color in their costumes. Hand and Kris had the arm bands again which I love and Kris had the faux skirt strip too (PLZ COMMIT TO THE FULL LONG SHIRT PLZ) and I like Jan’s vest it made his arms and chest look really good🙂↕️
At the end during Novi Val all of them were crying. From what I saw it was Bojan and Jure then Nace for most tears. (Jan and Kris had tears I their eyes though) Jure was on my side and he had to hard blink many times because he couldn’t see through the tears and was constantly trying and failing to wipe them away. (Wanted to wrap him in a hug so badly, but the others did that for me🙄) Chantal was telling us how during UM Nace was still trying to control his breathing during UM after.
Speaking of UM… BOJAN WHAT WAS THATTTT!?!?!! I was told after that the SLO broadcast ended after Novi Val so it makes sense that Bojan went “fuck it” and RIPPED OFF HIS PANT LEGS and threw them into the crowd (lucky duckies) which left him in a mini skirt cause the crotch had been completely gone most of the night (lovely navy blue underwear sweets) he also removed his shoes and socks and just bounded around the stage for the duration of the song.
After I had to make my way through the mud and standing water back to the car to leave and wash our feet (my phone was dead to I just trusted that North and Chantal would make it back eventually) to go to the AFTR PARTY to see Masayah at 1am🤌 I hadn’t really listened to her music but I loved it and was transfixed by her and her backup dancers.
Didn’t get home until after 3:30am with, I’m not joking, ZERO voice. Even now my throat is sore and I am unable to speak, so it was a great night I’d say😅 Not at all what I was expecting, but a show and night I will never forget!!!

So I was just telling him about KAJ and Omar Rudberg interacting at Rockbjörnen (bc he's had to suffer through both of my obsessions and is actually going with me to KAJ on ice!!)
And he got the idea for the next Melfest intermission: Omar and KAJ do a collaboration under the name OKAJ (like okay but with a J). They should also be presented by former Melfest host Keyo that complains about the fact that they didn't call themselves KAJO.
