something I think conservatives are missing in the idea of publicly owned grocery stores is that federally funded programs have to purchase, as much as possible, American made products. This usually means, like, parks departments drive fords and chevys, but it also means programs like USAID really only sent corn as food aid. anyways, federally funded grocery stores would have to purchase American made products, which could incentivize those stores to purchase local goods and produce, producing a circular economic cycle that benefits the overall economy. but thats commie talk so what do I know
