A message you should definitely see, please do. Over 50 people are at risk of catching horrible diseases.

This is something very important that I got to tell you all, because many lives are in danger of getting diseases like cholera and typhoid.

In Uganda there is this orphanage that holds over 50 children and it is ran by a man named Yazid who tries hard to take care of them. The children are fed, educated, and housed here. Unfortunately for these people, a lot of hardship has went their way this month. They have been through a lot this past month, a rent that was due was almost not even paid, living on food shortages or having no food at all, and also having their water purifier breaking down. For seven days they have went without CLEAN WATER. Think about that for a second, imagine that the only water you can drink was not clean. This would be very bad for anybody who couldn't afford treatment for diseases that would result from drinking unclean or unsafe water.

every subtype of EDS has proven fatal

I mean, I guess technically in the sense that we all die, or that complications can cause death, but most subtypes don’t affect lifespan? I mean, I have EDS, and my doctors have all told me that, seeing as I probably have hEDS, barring anything unexpected, my lifespan should be about normal.

Don’t do this.  They’re not safe for the birds.

Predators will frequently target birdhouses to try to eat the eggs or hatchlings.  For this reason, it is vital to make certain that the hole into the birdhouse is exactly the right size for the species of bird.  Making it larger like this just makes it easier for starlings, squirrels, raccoons, etc., to access the young and eat them.  It also makes it easier for the baby birds to fall out.

If you want to house birds, make sure you provide them with suitably sized boxes made with the right materials, with drainage holes on the bottom and vents for hot air along the top.  Don’t reuse old teapots.

But some of the corporations still continue doing business with the aggressor. They make money, and with that money they kill us.

So we need your help to boycott these companies, to make them leave russian market. Stop buying their products, don’t fund the war. Target them on social media, send them e-mails. Convince your boss to stop buying their products.

As of April, the companies that still work in russia include Nestle, Xiaomi, METRO, L’Oreal, Danone, Auchan, Barilla, Leroy Merlin, Mars, Shell and many others

So, India is dying.

Look, I know a good number of you are from the US and things aren't amazing there either, but my country is literally on the brink of collapse. So I'd love it if we could talk about that for a minute.

If you can't do anything else, please just read and reblog.

A second COVID wave has taken out the healthcare system. There are no more hospital beds. There's an oxygen shortage. There's a critical vaccine shortage. The Central Government has thrown its hands up and is passing the baton to the State Governments to do what they can.

There are over 16 million covid cases. A record 330,000 new cases reported yesterday - comparable to the US at its peak. 187,000 dead as of today.

There is no plan.

Mass cremations are taking place. The cremation grounds are running day and night and they are short on wood. People are watching their loved ones die while waiting for a hospital bed, and then they're unable to give them the proper burial rights.

Hospitals are overwhelmed. Patients are being confined, two to a bed. They're the lucky ones.

We are on the verge of people dying in the streets.

This is the second-most populous country in the world. The largest democracy. A country that encapsulates over 15,000 years of recorded human history and has endured everything from famine to invasion to colonisation.

We might be at the end. This might be the thing that does us in.

People are dying.

People are dying.

People are dying and there is no plan.

More good news? Variants are popping up. A double mutation strain has shown up. It is resistant to current vaccines. This will not go away. This is the devastation they warned of when the anti-maskers were out protesting the minor inconvenience of covering their face in public.

My country is on the verge of an emergency state. Our government has failed us. This is as dire a situation as it ever could be.

Look. I don't do much with my life. I write fics, some of you have read them and that's pretty much it. I spend my days with my head in the clouds because that's where I like to be.

But two days ago, my grandmother tested positive, had to be taken to hospital and the ambulance caught fire.

She barely made it to the urgent care she needs.
