The last time I was here, a guy pointed out that most women are afraid of going heavier . . . He must not follow the same women I follow on Insta 🤣💪🦵 I can't tell you where I am weight wise. The scale at the gym tells me one thing, and the scale at home tells me something 10 lbs less. My husband's weight on both? Accurate smh. I can say that I'm absolutely going in the right direction regardless of which one is right. You know what I've learned during this whole thing? . . . . Let me tell you..... . . . . Counting macros is soooooo hard. This is what my macros look like today, and I haven't reached my calorie goal. Sometimes I have too much protein and not enough carbs. Sometimes, like now, it's too much fat. I make what I think are great choices and then find a chart like this at the end of the day. I've fallen... . . . After weeks of being back in the gym and loving my body, I've fallen. This week I've seen first hand how important nutrition and hydration are, and let me tell you loss of either causes loss of the other. It makes you feel sluggish. It's made me feel sick. It's messed with my focus, my productivity and my sleep. And once you've fallen, it's so hard to get back up....just like that old LifeAlert commercial. That's me. So here I am....looking at my metabolic conditioning for today and wanting to just start the whole week over. My husband says let's pick up like we didn't miss anything, which is the right thing to do. But it's hard. You shouldn't punish yourself by any means, I know. But I'm angry at myself for letting go. I started posting this yesterday and then got distracted. . . . We had our first workout with the layout the trainer gave us. I really stepped out of my comfort zone with this one...using higher weights than normal to accomplish strength training and weight loss. Yesterday, I did an hour of cardio...something I haven't done in a while. I feel good. Cardio Assessment!!! . . . . Guys, we are really taking our fitness seriously this go round. We were doing so good last year and really fell off track after the wedding. Psshhh married life, right? We changed gyms, which surprisingly helped. Then, we engaged a physical and metabolic trainer to help us figure out what works best for us individually since I'm not losing fat as fast as I should be (gaining hella muscle though) and he's not hitting his heart rate goals. This assessment tells our trainer where our cardio zones are so he can create our schedule. Can I say how disappointed I am in myself? I went from needing to run 2 miles in 20 minutes (something I did just under 3 years ago) to tapping out after 13 minutes.
