"But the X-Men really are dangerous, so it's a bad metaphor for marginalized people" is the kind of ice cold take everyone drops like they're the first ones to ever think about it, but it's also one that only really makes sense in the context of the movies or some other adaptation where the X-Men are the only superpowered people around. Within the context of the original universe, it does make perfect sense as a metaphor, bc people as a whole are fine with individuals who gain their powers by radiation poisoning or by spider bite or whatever, but find mutants so arbitrarily repulsive they literally program giant death robots to murder them and them alone
following weird horny furries who are into shit like pooltoys and transformation and stuff is enrichment. the vitamins and minerals of posting
what this fandom needs
more f/f
What fandom, you ask? All of them. There’s not enough in any fandom.

The first rule of Fight Club is that fights can neither be created nor destroyed
The second rule of Fight Club is to not take the Fight Club's name in vain
Third rule: A Fight Club must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Rule
Very relevant indeed
Honestly humans should be able to deploy little parasitic creatures called “learnlets” to go learn new things, or discover hidden ideas, and then return in the evenings
You have to eat them for dinner or other evening meal to gain their knowledge okay
you can seek out and eat the learnlets of your enemies for the purposes of war
The biggest reason 9/11 did not happen in brazil is because big jesus would have catched the plane and destroy the terorist. Second big reason is tjat world trade center wads not i nbrasil
I mean obviously I would fuck a monster but more than that I would bond emotionally with a monster over our shared sense of alienation and rejection from a hostile universe. together we would explore our deep-seated fear of being inherently unlovable, and reassure each other of our innate value as sentient beings deserving of love and kindness. i will hold them gently, and wipe the tears from their googly eyestalk-tentacles, and something will begin to heal
and then we fuck nasty, im not a saint
I’ve never felt more seen as a hopeless romantic monster lover.

fandom at its core is about asking the age old question “what if they were doing that shit on purpose” and then they weren’t

“homophones for places to park a ship” was one of the runner up entities for this post, it not only made me feel bad but also a little humiliated. ultimately I had to respect it for that. word puzzles are a passionate and sensual affair
particularly egregious
playing trivia games as a nonamerican introduces a real element of chaos because sometimes the super easy beginner questions are like what was the top selling brand of toilet paper in texarkana in 1972 and sometimes the hardest questions will be like oh no a super tricky one for you: what country are dutch people from?
