I used to make really niche witch tips & emoji spells and I'm considering returning to witchblr
I think I was feeling really overwhelmed with beginner advice but I'm in a healthier headspace now and I could use a little motivation to return to my path.
hope you're all doing well đ

So the last time I reblogged this, someone reblogged from me with a comment along the lines of âwait till you see them with swordsâ. So I went to search it up, and⌠guys. GUYS.
There are actual sparks flying holy shit =O

It really did. When the swords started REALLY connecting around 3:20 literal sparks are flying

The official dance group of Georgia (I donât remember their name) has said they exist both to represent Georgia to the world and to heal Georgia through dance. They are inspirational and definitely some of the best dancers in the world.
Other Georgia needs to step up their game.

Following the death of their parents, Lea and Ezra Thompson are left to piece together a puzzle of mystery and terror inherited by them in the form of their ominous House. Like Pandora's box, each new question reveals secrets that plunge the siblings further into a net of confusion and darkness. Nothing is as it seems, and even Death is grappled with as revelations surrounding their parents are brought to light. And in the midst of it all, the House contains the answers. But the price for knowing is almost worth being left in the dark.

âIf you have a deep scar, that is a door, if you have an old, old story, that is a door. If you love the sky and the water so much that you almost cannot bear it, that is a door. If you yearn for a deeper life, a full life, a sane life, that is a door.â

Really fast, I want to talk about reconstruction, and how it factors into my life- because I actually think reconstructionism is super useful, and I use it in different areas of my faith.
The way I approach holidays is very âinspiredâ, and not at all reconstructionist. The longer I go, the more I just⌠integrate Kemetic/Hellenic deities into holidays/months that I already celebrate. Itâs easy for me to worship Aphrodite in April, or Sutekh in the winter and fall, or Nebet-het during Halloween, because the world around me reflects aspects of those deities (to me).
Alternatively, though, I try to stick to a more reconstructionist approach during ritual and prayer, especially when Iâm approaching deities for the first time. (The biggest exception to this is Sobek, who Iâm a little bit more experimental with.) And I prefer it this way- when Iâm approaching deities through a framework I think theyâll be familiar with, with caution and respect, they usually react better and stronger.
I also combine elements of both. Iâm fairly comfortable worshiping Kemetic and Hellenic deities together, because they were worshiped together in Alexandria. At the same time, itâs dubious that the deities I bring together are the same ones that the Alexandrians brought together.Â
-To counter that, Iâd probably wouldnât bring, say, Thor and Sutekh into ritual together, because to my knowledge, their cultures never met in antiquity, and the deities might not âget alongâ. (This being based off my own approach to religion; other perspectives will differ)
Anyway, what I mean to say is that the way you approach reconstructionism should really depend on what religious framework youâre using, what you want to do with it, and what you feel the gods want from you.Â

I decided to share the entirety of my devotional fiction, âThe Grey Emotionâ (which is also the namesake for my blog title!)Â
It is a short story about a man named Davis whose heart is stirred by a warm and mysterious stranger (Ares!) - consider checking it out on my Medium publication, Polytheist Problems ~
