And like you said on your story Remmick is lonely. Hes been alone for a long time and craves a connection to his ancestors, past and people. Hes a charmer so he used to luring people in but once that more animalistic side takes hes used to the terror in peoples eyes, the fear in their heartbeat, terror in their voice. Id imagine it made it easier for him to focus on the ppl of the past rather than the ppl of the present. But with OJ is different. OJ being one of the first people to take interest in his vamperic(ness?) The first time him being a vampire bought someone closer rather than away
I can imagine OJ meets him and it takes him a sec but faster than most to realize the person before him isnt human. And when Remmick starts to drool OJ isnt scared of death. On the inside sure he doesnt want to die buts hes curious. He slides closer to Remmick and slowly lifts his hand to rest on Remmick cheek while using his thumb to raise his lips. OJ always been good with animals not so much with humans. Id imagine he would be quite curious to deal with a being that is not quite both
Thinking about Sinners and I find it so interesting that despite Stack being the more “joyful” twin Ive seen more ppl say Smoke is their fav. Like Stack has all the personality of being the favorite and makes no mistake hes well loved but Smoke won the peoples heart.

To take this rude attitude that talks down to people in a conversation about racism towards blk ppl as a non-black person is insane.
