AO3 IS IN TROUBLE IF CALIFORNIAN AGE VERIFICATION LAW PASSES

An upcoming Age verification bill centered in California will be voted on Monday– And as always,instead of actually protecting kids, it will lead to more online censorship and privacy risks, as it will force websites hosting to verify their users age by sending their ID, your browser history would be linked to it. if you live California, call your reps and tell them to oppose the bill AB3080 as it highly unconstitutional.

They also deem LGBT content harmful to minors, as well as mentions of weapons and tobacco, putting them on the same level as NSFW content.

Since AO3 headquarters reside in California, much like Reddit, Twitter,Discord and Youtube (and others) who knows how bad the effects would be. Instead of just effecting Californians (even then its concerning.) the effects would be US or even worldwide. VPNs wont help.

psa for fic writers on a thing I've seen a few times so just a heads up: they're not "tidy whities," they're "tighty whities." this is because they're underwear that is white and tight, not because they're underwear that is white and neatly arranged.

couple things

deviled eggs are delicious bc, while hard boiled/cleansed of sin, as the name implies the sin has been artificially added back in (via mayonnaise)

raw eggs are indeed the Most Delicious, which is why consuming them inflicts divine punishment (salmonella) unless they have received exorcism (pasteurization)

female alpha fic help???

i really only read fic for two ships (hannigram, destiel). i've been a big a/b/o fan for over a decade but somehow have read almost zero female alpha fics bc both of my main ships are m/m -- but i really want to read some good steamy alpha female fic! except i don't know what fandoms or characters to search through. the "female alpha" tag on AO3 is unfilterable bc it's so common, so i'm not having much luck narrowing things down that way. if anyone has any fandom recs that have rich female!alpha ships and fic i'd love to hear them!!!

(if at all possible it would be nice if they were fandoms that are more common so it'd be easier to find other content to help me understand who the characters are.)
