Hi everyone. If you have heard on the news, a tsunami hit Tonga's largest island, Tongatapu, after the Hunga-Tongq-Hunga-Ha'apu volcano erupted. There is currently a tsunami watch extending as far entire West Coast of the United States.

The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development has compiled a list of organizations taking donations to assist those impacted and it can be found HERE

the way men in the industry portray aaliyah, the weird ass pedestal they elevate her to, it’s giving madonna whore complex. they preyed on her as a child, said she looked more grown than she was, and acted mature for her age as a means of justifying their illegal relationships with her. when she tragically dies, she’s this pure, virginal figure that these men mourn because they’ll never have the chance to wife her (or rather groom her into a wife). now they’re just left with the “shallow slutty bitches who do too much” that are currently dominating mainstream hiphop and rnb—even though a lot of these women actively cite aaliyah as one of their inspirations and actually pay homage to her in their work. these men never saw her as a real person and they still don’t and it’s fucking sick.
