This video made me ugly cry non-stop for almost ten minutes. Like this little girl, I always knew my parents were struggling. There's a difference in that my Dad didn't stick around, but a similarity in that I wasn't oblivious to their plight.

It made me recall the times my Mom had to leave the grocery store empty-handed after being told that her card/check was declined cause my Dad drained the account. It made me remember the cash my Grandma would hide in my Mom's drawers and pockets. And Losing my childhood home and moving into my Grandma's small house. 

The video also reminded me of something I've told anyone that asked me when I'm going to have a kid: If I can't guarantee quality of life for a child, then I don't want one.
