Monthly Challenge August explanation | MC August Week 4 ❤️
Summary: St.Van takes you on a very much needed vacation - after spending a lot of time at work!
Authors note: This is the 4th and last imagine for the monthly challenge, so this will sum up the vacation series for now! I’m sorry that it took me some time to get it done and upload it, but time were never on my side when I was going to settle down and write it. But here it is! The moodboard is made by admin Arin, who also requested this final imagine to be about St.Van! ❤️
I really hope I got the best out of him, that I managed to depict him in the best way possible. Enjoy your reading! ❤️
“Are you sure this is the right place?” you asked him, the gentle giant who were seated beside you in the driver’s seat.
He had endlessly been talking about you not getting enough rest from work. Your days were long and mentally exhausting, and on top of that - your sleeping schedule recently had taken a complete turn.
He smiled widely, not giving you a single word in response as he drove up on the ascent, parking the car.
“Yes ma’am, I’m aware of that my sense of direction might be a little rusty, but they’re not that bad” he chuckled as he took your hand in his, hugging it gently.
You couldn’t help but to feel your heart beating a bit harder at his words and small action, because no matter what he did - it always left you feeling freshly in love.
“I hope this will do for a few nights” he said as he walked up to a pastel pink house, which were located in between some big, green trees. Beautiful. With your hand tightly in his, you followed him from behind. Butterflies were dancing in your stomach as you scanned the view, along with a smile living on your lips. “This will do just perfect” you spoke under your breath, feeling completely taken aback because of the beautiful scenery. When did he even had the time to prepare all of this? To book the cabin, plan the trip?
While you were all up in your thoughts, he turned around while giving you a bright smile of his. With sparkles in his eye’s he picked you up in bridal style, carrying you over the threshold, continuing into the house.
After unpacking your suitcases which he brought from the car, he once again sneaked up behind you, his warm hands gently stroking your arms, his tight chest pressed against your back. “Y/N, I have an idea” you heard him lowly speak from behind, his soothing and calm voice giving your spine some tingles. “But here, take this, young lady” he added with a chuckle, throwing you a grey sweater of his, which he knows that you love to wear. “It might be a bit breezy” his voice again spoke, his face giving you a soft smile along with a wink.
“Okay, you can open your eyes now” he said, letting go of your eyes that he had been covering on your way down to the most cozy and beautiful little scenery that you’ve ever seen. As your brain were processing the pictures that your eyes took in, you heard a familiar sound. A bottle opening. Did he really bring you champagne as well? He brought you so much already? This trip were just enough for you. Just spending some alone time with him was.
You turned to ask him if he was being serious about the bottle of champagne- just to see that there were other things of your liking being decorated on a blanket, on top of the cold, late night sand.
You swore that you could see some grapes, strawberries, biscuits, even some cheese and champagne, from your distance.
You walked up to him and asked him “Why?”
Because that was the only thing running around in your mind. Why all of this? Why me out of all the people in this world?
You had always been a little questioning, or more like doubtful in your relationship. No because of him, but because of you. Because you tend to feel that you’re not good enough for him. That you’re not good enough for him, for him that every morning reminds you about how beautiful you are in his t-shirt and your messy bed hair. For him that over and over again reminds you, reassures you that you are more than just enough to him. For him that have seen you at your worst, and still have decided to stay, to show you your strengths and true colors.
He handed you a glass and filled it up with your absolute favorite champagne as he said: “It’s what you deserve”
And of course you couldn’t help but to shake your head in disagreement.
He grabbed your chin in between his thumb and index finger, making you look at him. Your heart was racing by his touch, like it always did, but something about this whole trip, this exact moment with him felt so.. heartfelt.
You could see behind him that the sun started to set, fading from a orange, late night summer sky, into darker shades of blue. Stars were soon slightly shown as well, and you thought if it as if the sea you were placed in front of, had taken a turn up to the sky. It was so beautiful.
A soft, cold breeze made the hair on your arms arise beneath his oversized sweater, and a gasp appeared from your mouth.
“It’s what you deserve” he repeated with reassurance in his voice. His hands trailing from your shoulders, down to your arms, stopping at your hands. He intertwined your cold hands in his warm ones, locking your fingers together. You could legit really feel how the warmth of him was running through every little inch of your body.
“Don’t you dare thinking otherwise Y/N” he said, slowly stroking the back of your thumb with his, while having his dark doe eyes locked in yours.
Your heart skipped one beat. Two. You could swear that he wants you dead someday, because of the lacking heartbeats of yours that is caused by him.
“But for now, let’s just enjoy this night, okay?” he asked, softly smiling at your gently nodding head in response, before cupping your face with his hands. His eyes were shifting between your eyes and lips for a few seconds, before he decided to lean in and leave a passionate touch of love on your lips, as well as leaving you with this feeling of safety and comfort inside of you; the feeling that you always get from him.
Because that’s what you deserve.
