Once Bruce was safely settled on the couch, Clint gave his forehead a peck and started toward the kitchen. “Wait on me a minute. Did you want to try and eat anything or should I just make myself a snack?” he called, digging through the newly stocked cabinets. Cookies, ice cream... Bacon bits? He could work with that.
"I could kill you right now!"
“So do it, Barton. Kill me. But you don’t have it in you, do you?”
“Well good because I don’t doubt your punches hurt like a bitch. No offense.”
“At least you’re smart enough not to underestimate me.” She’s mostly teasing.
“Of course I won’t underestimate you. You’re way stronger than me, no matter how you slice it.”

Hydra Corp.’s biological warfare experiments take a horrifying turn when a deadly virus is accidentally released. The infection spreads like wildfire and each city quickly descends into chaos, overrun by hordes of the undead. Pietro blinks, and tilts his head, looking at Clint with no emotion on his face. None at all. “I’m sorry,” there’s no emotion in his words either, spoken by route, like a programmed response. He doesn’t even seem like he cares about it how long since he disappeared. Doesn’t care about that it’s Clint whose standing in front of him.
“No?” Clint frowned, stepping forward and putting a hand on Pietro’s shoulder. “Well, it’s alright. You’re safe now and that’s all that matters. Let’s get you back to the team and we can have you looked over. Your sister’s been worried sick about you.”
Pietro can’t stop the flinch that comes through his body, a tensing that comes with Clint touching his shoulder. His eyes go wide, but he doesn’t move. Doesn’t try to get out from under the uncormfotable hold, despite how clear it is that he doesn’t like it. “Yes sir.”
“Sir..?” Clint murmured, pulling his hand away sharply. “What’s the matter? I... You seem really tense. C’mon, let’s get you to Wanda, kid, she can take care of you.”

“We’ll take pictures,” Clint agreed. “But I won’t forget you. I promise.” He leaned in, pressing a soft kiss to Bruce’s cheek. “Will I be allowed to kiss your lips some day, fair maiden?” he teased.
Bruce laughed again and smiled up at Clint. “Maybe one day.” He said softly. He rested his head on Clint’s shoulder and let out a happy sigh. “I don’t know how you do it but you make me really happy Clint. Thank you… f-for letting me stay here with you.”
“Thanks for staying with me,” Clint answered, holding Bruce even tighter. “I didn’t let you, Bruce. This is your home. I hope you understand that. Now c’mon, let’s go watch that movie.”
“It’s not that I think your cooking is bad! It’s just … Not that good.”
“it’s better than yours pizza boy.”
“Touche. But seriously, did you like never cook for yourself in the last seventy-five years?”
