Hello, I’m May! I’m from New York and currently majoring in fine arts. I began playing Stardew Valley in May 2023 and it has since become my favorite game. My obsession led me here on Tumblr where I started this blog in July 2024 (after my first was wrongfully flagged). You can expect to see headcanons, art, and fanfiction of the bachelors mostly. My favorites are Elliott—hence the blog name—and Sam! I’m also a die-hard Sambastian truther. Outside of Stardew, I enjoy reading, creative writing, American Horror Story, Castlevania, MTV’s Downtown, and bands like Misfits, The Used, My Chemical Romance (saw them live!), Pulp, Badflower, and Elliott Smith. So many people complain about the supposed racism in this game and then use Diverse Stardew Valley which is SO MUCH MORE FUCKING OBVIOUS WITH IT.

Off the top of my head:

— Jodi, a housewife who feels trapped by her circumstances and is constantly stressed about what chores she has/hasn't done, becomes an Arab woman

— Kent, who sends us BOMBS in the mail, becomes an Arab man, but don't worry, they remove that and change his job from soldier to reporter, because that makes it sooo much better (not)

— Alex, who has misogynistic tendencies and comes from an abusive household, becomes Mexican

— Leah becomes Native American. not any specific tribe, just generic pop culture native, couldn't even do the bare minimum of picking one

— Shane, the alcoholic, becomes Latino which makes the stereotype even worse

— Penny gets changed to mixed-race, which wouldn't be a problem if Pam could be switched to a POC but she can't, which leaves the implication that Penny's dad was the one who contributed that bit of her genetics and then walked out

— Lewis, the corrupt mayor who wouldn't go public with his relationships if his life depended on it no matter whose feelings are hurt, becomes a black man

— quite possibly the worst offense, it gives you the option to make Demetius albino. sure, take the only originally black guy in the game and make him white as snow with a condition that has historically been associated with ableist tropes in fiction, why not. rotten cherry on top of a rancid cake.

Just about the only thing this mod does right is change Maru's hair texture. People complain about the game being racist and then use a so-called diversity mod that makes it a lot worse, ugh.

Shane is a rude alcoholic who should not be trusted with the custody of a child until he gets his damn shit together and no, I will not be the one to help him do so because I will not be responsible for making a man fix himself, I've got my own problems and he needs to stop taking his out on me. He's literally only a romance candidate because the "I can fix him" crowd screamed and screamed demanding he be given to them as a sacrifice. NO, YOU CANNOT FIX HIM AND YOU ALL HAVE SAVIOR COMPLEXES THAT YOU NEED TO BE IN THERAPY FOR. Fun Fact about yourself? Aside from having three cats, I have a small army of isopods as pets!

How long have you been writing fanfiction? Writing fanfic? On and off since high school. Writing it more seriously(?) and actually posting it? Since March 2025!

Favourite SDV character to write? Hmm, I've had a lot of fun writing all of them so far, but I think Elliott has been my favorite!

Favourite tropes/genre to write? I had a lot of fun writing crack! But I also enjoy writing angst, smut, hurt/comfort, hurt/no comfort, yandere characters, and mystery!

Your most popular SDV fanfic? My most popular fanfic is my very first, Yandew Valley! It's not everyone's cup of tea, it's long (50+ chapters and counting), the dove is dead and buried, and it has a LOT going on, but sometimes I'm proud of it! :)

Your SDV underdog fic you wish more people would give a chance? I only have one other fanfic currently, Grandpa Sold Me to Hit Boyband One Pelican?! It's my first crack fic / one shot and it was so fun to write!

But I am super excited for another SDV fic I've been working on writing (and illustrating) for months, but it isn't quite ready to start posting! I hope people will give it a chance when it's out!

Hear me out: Don't like, don't read. But what if you DO like a fic? You don't HAVE to comment, sure, but it could make someone's day! If you're eating your favorite food for free, why not send your compliments to the chef? :) Be silly and be kind, you never know what's going on behind other people's screens.

Lastly, any other fandoms you write for? Not yet! Legend of Zelda and Baldur's Gate 3 were actually what got me back into reading fanfic, so I would love to write for those fandoms one day!
