I met this guy. He told me to be less scared. He probably meant it as a joke. In the two weeks I knew him, he scared me pretty much everyday by randomly popping up when I didn’t expect it. But I though about what he said, was I really that scared? I wanted to say no. I went to Australia when I was 18. I just got back from living in Vancouver for 4,5 months and travelling in New Zealand for three weeks. I am only 21, a scared person wouldn’t do all those things. I thought about what he said, “you should be less scared”. And he was right. Too scared to make a phone call for an appointment. Too scared to start driving lessons. Too scared to say what I want. Too scared to sat what I feel. You were right, and I listened. Now, I made an appointment to start driving lessons soon. I’ll cut my hair next week. I have a job and a possible traineeship. All because you told me to be less scared, and I picked up the phone and made a phone call. And another one, and another one. You told me to start living my life, so I did. I miss you x
