hiya, i'm new to the kpdh fandom and am working on a story for the first time in years. i've been inspired by so many amazing, talented writers, but in particular, although they've ended up being very different characters (i hope) i can see echoes of show me mira in the the way i wanted to write her: her strength and vulnerability, her competence and dignity and pain. i think the way your characterisation, and your writing in general, is really special. i hope this isn't rude to say, i don't want to come off like i'm copying your ideas, but just wanted to say thank you <3

not rude at all anon, this is so sweet!! i love reading all the different versions of mira across the fandom but i most often see her written pretty true to canon at least on some level; she describes herself as "overly blunt, short-fused, highly aggressive" but she just wanted a family and she found one with her girls. so we as writers see those core elements of her personality—Faults and Fears but also her motivation and how she thinks of herself/how others perceive her—and throw her into a Situation and/or a different universe and see how she responds. being able to create your own version of a character while keeping them recognisable to canon is the whole point of writing fic imo.

Swiping out of her conversation with Celine, Rumi opened the camera app. Carefully, without disturbing the arm wrapped around her, she raised her phone and snapped a picture. Clutching her phone close to her face, she waited for the image to pop up. Half expecting to see Mira staring back at the camera, Rumi couldn’t help deflating with a sigh of relief at the sight of Mira sleeping soundly. She looked so peaceful.
