not seeing a lot of people on here talking about ICE murdering another man yesterday. His name was Lorenzo Salgado Arajou. He was a Mexican man living in Huston Texas. He was killed at age 52 and lived the past 35 years here in the USA, and was in the process of obtaining a work permit. He was shot and killed during a traffic stop that ICE claims was part of a targeted operation, and claimed he was “weaponizing his vehicle”- the same claim ICE agents made when they shot and murdered Renee Good.
During the stop, Lorenzo had 3 coworkers with him in his truck who have all been taken into ICE custody.
His family described Lorenzo as a hardworking family man who didn’t deserve to be killed. All he wanted was to provide for his wife and see his sons become great people. His eldest son recognized his father by his cries and pleas when trying to identify who the victim was.
The Salgado Araujo family has set up a gofundme to help with funeral and legal costs, and to help keep their family supported since Lorenzo was the sole provider.
On the morning of July 7, 2026, Lorenzo Salgado Araujo was ta… LULAC Institute, Inc. needs your support for In Loving Memory of Lorenzo Salg
before my egg cracked, i had noticed that trans people were often pro-accessibility and up-to-date on the needs of disabled people, but i hadn’t seen any inherent connection between the two (other than the obvious minority-looking-out-for-other-minority thing). but now that i’m trans and medically transitioning, and i have to constantly repeat myself while talking to doctors and nurses, and explain things about my own anatomy to medical staff who should already know this, and having every single problem i might have blamed on my “condition” so nothing i say is taken seriously, all of the sudden i have a little sneak peak into the life of someone who has to deal with this all the time. like shit bro, being disabled probably sucks ass, someone should do something about this
happy disability pride month, we all deserve autonomy and respect and access to medication
This show really is the hope it tried so hard to portray in Ruby. Monty died after season 2- the CREATOR of the show died after its second season. The show continued on. RoosterTeeth WENT UNDER. RWBY was sold to a completely different media company!
And it's back.
Volume 10.
One more shot.
I'm 30 years old now. RWBY's been out since I was in high school. I'm so fucking happy bro
There's something kinda funny about how RWBY just absolutely refuses to die despite a constant stream of adversity. The first season was objectively hot garbage but it still got a second season. The creator of the series whose passion project the whole thing was passed away in a freak accident after the second season but they just kept going without him and somehow a significant portion of the fanbase went along for it. The budget got slashed in Season 5 because of gross mismanagement but no worries! The fans stuck with it and they got it back for Season 6. Then a few seasons later the entire company that's been producing it went completely tits up and we all assumed THAT would be the end but nope!!! They got bought by Viz. RWBY has now outlived both the man who dreamt it up and the company that produced it. In an era where numerous streaming shows get axed after one or two seasons despite being critical successes with large fanbases it is completely baffling that a show that is so consistently troubled and infamously has an extremely mixed reception cannot be fucking ended despite all indications to the contrary. It truly is femslash Supernatural
Felt right to reblog this today given the news lol
this pride month we’re all going to be radically pro transgender. or else.
hey so this means radically pro ALL transgender. don’t put limitations on this. all trans people are radically accepted here.
It’s Pride Month Eve, so leave out some milk for Freddie Mercury and his cats.
Annual reblog of Freddie and his magnificent cats.
happy Pride Eve!
clark kent ticking the organ donor box on his drivers license automatically out of the goodness of his heart and then panicking because what if he actually dies somehow and some human gets a super heart what would even HAPPEN like he can't have his kryptonian retinas with laser vision donated to a random eight year old and so he has to awkwardly go back to the DMV to get it changed to not an organ donor but he's so embarrassed the whole time because the DMV employees will think he's a bad person that by the time he's done he has to go cry in the car
I hope everyone involved in the decision to make astronauts use Outlook on their way to the moon never goes a day of their lives without stepping in a fire ant colony
I wanna add some context for *why* the astronauts are using Outlook, because it seems like most people are just assuming it's interfering with mission critical software. So no, Outlook is not on the actual shuttle but rather the astronauts Personal Computing Device (PCD). The astronauts are using the PCDs for things like scheduling (remember that they aren't just sitting up there, normally astronauts are running a battery of tests while in space and knowing when to do them can be important), compiling mission related data, as well as communication with friends and family on Earth that's not through NASA. So, at a super high level, every astronaut is given a personal laptop so that they can email their families, only that email client bugged on them and now everyone is clowning on NASA for running the shuttle on Windows. It's the graphite pencil story all over again.
So we're all gonna let the new Harry Potter show die on the vine, right? No hatewatching. No thinkpieces. No videos about how bad it is. Deprive it of oxygen and let it wither away unremarked-upon and unprofitable; make HBO lose their entire investment and prove to the corporate entertainment sphere that the entire IP is poison. And spend that time doing something that brings you joy instead.
You know I really enjoy when a character can generate a more interesting conversation than just the tupical hating or loving, I like actual and more coherent discourse about it, like talking about Garp in a way that you can see how even himself being against the higher positions and proclaiming that he wants to protect those who are in a lower rank, he is still endorsing and promoting the same opressive system that exposes and sacrifice those lower ranks that how much insists on protect, that maybe he is not indeed a horrible person, but he is not much better than those that blind themselves to not see the corruption even damn welk they know bad things are happening, also talking about Harald, more than the conversation being around him being good or bad friend, fatther or ruler, when the conversation shift into even with his good intention, it was his internalized racism and rejection of his own culture trying to be accepted by people who only see him as a potential slave that doom his fate and the fate of his country to the hands of hhe workd goverment.
I think in a way in provides on so much complexity to the writing and how even when smth can look simple, it's an example on how things sre more complex than it looks.
I do think Oda wants to parallel Garp with Harold and how they are both willfully blind to the awful things the World Government does in the name of peace/order/justice - Garp with God Valley and Harold literally protects people from being enslaved by the Marines at one points. Both of them also have people in their lives pointing at the situation and going "See this Fuck Shit the World Government is doing? Why are you doing this?" Harold ignores Rocks and at the end is forced to betray everything he stood for, lose everything he ever had, and beg his own son to kill him. Garp had Rodger and ignored him, and has Dragon and is ignoring him . . . and if he doesn't get off this path soon then he's probably going to end up like Harold and maybe even controlled by Imu to fight his son or grandson.
happy birthday nico robin ♡

do you think garp wouldve killed akainu like he said had sengoku not held him down
he would have certainly tried
I really judge Garp for saying that. It's like, dude, you were willing to let Ace be killed for being Rodger's son, you didn't do anything to save him, you actively interfered with both Luffy and Marco in saving him, and were 100% willing to sit beside him when the executioners kill him. But then! Sakazuki did the thing you were willing to sit there and watch half an hour ago, and *now* you wanna get all pissy and threaten the people who hurt your family? He made his choice, and it wasn't to help his family, so he doesn't get the right to complain he chose to let happen happens.
Also almost every country has laws restricting or outright banning disabled people from immigrating. They explicitly state we're "burdens" they don't want to shoulder. When everyone was joking abkut moving to Canada I had to sit there knowing I am trapped in a place that wants me dead (trans and queer) and no country will help me because they'd rather I die then burden them with my care.
"Immigrats who can contribute" is phrased to exclude disabled people :/ if we dont contribute by being smart or whatever the fuck we aren't worth helping.

Sad pretty boy trying and failing to smoke in the rain 😍
If you like that scene, you neeeeeeeeed to watch MelonTeee on Youtube (https://www.youtube.com/@MelonTeee). She's the best at One Piece character analysis that I've found, and she's a certified Sanji fan who has that scene as her favorite in the series because of how wet and pathetic he is lmao. Might need to get caught up first if you aren't, but keep her in mind.
