Damn, Ms. Wilde. You deserve a mountain of bouquets.

Beginning with an Oscar Wilde felt delightfully cheeky, especially since the director is another Wilde.

Great script but it really is elevated by the actors who glide between comedy and serious drama with smooth elegance. The pacing of the dialogue is like a symphony coming together.

Sadé was a great touch.

Yet again, things really don't go well for a Wilde housewife who has a man go down on her.

Seth Rogen is so good at portraying resentment.

Counting the days till The Invite drops on streaming so that I can have a GIF of Edward Norton (Hawk) popping up from behind a sofa.

How do you make Esther Perel even cooler than she already is? Have Penelope Cruz play her.

Were Pina and Hawk figments of Angela and Joe's imagination? Why did they disappear, despite Pina implying she would only leave once she got her casserole back?

Basically, great fun and definitely one of the best watches of the year so far.

I think one big reason why we don't consider the stars as important as before (not even pop-astrology anymore cares about the stars or the sky on itself, just the signs deprived of context) is because of light pollution.

For most of human history the sky looked between 1-3, 4 at most. And then all of a sudden with electrification it was gone (I'm lucky if I get 6 in my small city). The first time I saw the Milky Way fully as a kid was a spiritual experience, I was almost scared on how BRIGHT it was, it felt like someone was looking back at me. You don't get that at all with modern light pollution.

When most people talk about stargazing nowadays they think about watching about a couple of bright dots. The stars are really, really not like that. The unpolluted night sky is a festival of fireworks. There is nothing like it.

Utroba Cave in the Rhodope mountains, Bulgaria. Carved by hand more than 3000 years ago (?), it was rediscovered in 2001.

Archeologists hypothesize that an altar built at the end of the cave, which is about 22 m deep, represents either the cervix or the uterus.

At midday, light seeps into the temple through an opening in the ceiling, projecting an image of a phallus on to the floor.

When the sun is at the right angle, in late February or early March, the phallus grows longer and reaches the alter, symbolically fertilizing the womb before the sowing of the spring crops.
