Detroit: Become Human (Quantic Dream, 2018)
witch hat atelier is great because in the first few chapters it looks like its really just going to be a cute magical girl story about hope and friendship but then you keep reading and its about how fascist societies fabricate a social structure to divide how power and information is disseminated and what life is like as a disabled person in that society. and then its also still about hope and friendship, but if hope and friendship could kill you.
everybody better appreciate small tits. i better see several posts drooling over flat chests for every time i wish my tits were bigger
you have to love the trans girl with an eating disorder's flat chest. you have to
and you have to kiss and grope and squeeze and bite and mark and suck on and pinch and fawn over her small tits, just like you would all the girls who were lucky enough to actually get more growth, the girls who never struggled to put on the new weight necessary to see substantial breast growth. even if her tits never get big you still have to appreciate them. you have to
I just invented an amazing digital glue that lets me walk up and down any circus.
what people don’t understand about how adhd is disabling is that it’s not just getting temporarily distracted from, like, school work or hobbies. it’s getting distracted/being unable to motivate yourself to go to the doctor, eat regularly, do hygiene tasks, etc. it’s not knowing when or how long it will take you to do something, ANYTHING, and in many cases that thing is taking a shower or keeping your house from turning into a biohazard. it’s about being fundamentally incapable of controlling your attention and focus on anything, even and especially things you need to do to survive.
it really is fucking pathetic that a country with more guns than people can't hit one guy
if this is how you found out there was an active shooter at the White House yesterday I'm sorry
[Iron Man villain voice] Shinzo Abe's assassin was able to hit him right in the neck! with a box of scraps!!

Do you like this Video Game Song? #3049
I like it and I've definitely heard it before
I like it and it sounds familiar
I like it and this is my first time hearing it
I don't feel strongly about it or have a complex opinion

Do you feel bad right now? Kinda listless, like everything is being dumped on you? Eternal misery that cannot be fixed? Try eating a potato. You'll feel a lot better.
Potatoes, while obviously the single most lifegiving crop in human history, have gotten a bit of an unfair rap in the media. Be it because of carbohydrates, not enough greenery, or the fact that everyone only eats them fried to a crisp in oil and heavily salted, it seems like there is always a chance for our so-called "truth tellers" to deliver a slam to the noble spud.
Of course, improving your mood will require cooking a potato. Eating them raw does not seem to make me feel any better. And that can be difficult, if you are already feeling pretty terrible. That's why I think we should replace the police with people who hand out a baked potato. They could have like a little oven or something with them and when you want one, you get one.
Now, now, I hear a lot of you saying: oh, but then who will arrest the criminals? That's scarcity thinking. There'll be no criminals anymore. If you're feeling like you might want to rob a bank, it's possible that you just need a baked potato. With chives, little sour cream, bacon bits? Any nearby Potato Officer will provide, and then you can go right back to having a productive life, doing some kind of weird hobby instead of threatening to shoot a bunch of people unless they give you money that you would just use to buy potatoes anyway.
So I want you to think about this the next time the city police budget comes up for renewal. That could buy a lot of potatoes. Hell, it could buy some fried potatoes. Damn, that sounds pretty good right now, doesn't it? Way better than having some kind of unaccountable stealth helicopter flying down your alley because some asshole didn't get to eat dinner this evening and has committed an unspeakable crime about it.
I haven’t even seen this movie but I need you to see this Letterboxd review of The Housemaid - the discord server I’m in and I have been losing our minds over it
For those who have missed it, a tourist in Hawaii decided it would be fun to chuck a rock (a BIG rock) at a monk seal. He missed, but he was captured on video, and when told it was illegal to interfere with them, said "I'm rich, I can pay the fine."
Is the best part that he got doxxed? No.
Is the best part that he got tracked down by a local and beaten? No.
Arrested on state at federal charges, looking at up to 5 years and 50K? Nope.
The best part is the local city council's reaction.
And the best part of that is the look on the attorney's face.
More of this please, everywhere.
After the incident, another video went viral showing what appeared to be that man getting a beating. The Maui Police Department said they had no record of any reports of disorderly conduct or assault related to the monk seal incident.
Even the local police are being cool about this.
this is a repost from brenton awa's account, who is a conservative republican lawmaker.
he makes a living off of presenting himself as a native hawaiian speaking for the community despite telling a native hawaiian community elder that she should've been killed for criticizing him and that he didn't regret saying it (she was criticizing him for showing up to vote against banning aquarium fishing on her native land, to be clear)
he also insulted our one transgender state rep (who is, you guessed it, mixed and from hawaii) by calling her a slur immediately after she was elected, mocking the rep she unseated for losing to someone like her. [no, 'mahu' is not just 'the normal term for trans women in hawaii': while it can be used as as a term for self-identity, if you call someone else a mahu, it is not being used that way. don't believe me? go call a hawaiian a mahu unprompted and see how they take it]
he has also been the one to introduce legislation that bans talking about sexuality and gender identity in hawaii schools, giving the parents the option to sue if the schools do not comply
as well as introducing bills mandating 'sex-specific' sports teams
every time i see people posting content from his account that's directly playing into his grift where he portrays himself as a defender of hawaiian rights in order to get votes and attention i kind of want to scream
i fucking love scary ass gatorade
ultimately I think the place where I will never see eye to eye with the "you can do whatever you want forever" people is in the precision of language. I do think it is genuinely important for words to have widely agreed upon definitions that are only flexible to the same degree that the rest of a given language is. a word whose definition is whatever suits the speakers preference and makes them the most comfortable doesn't have any real reason to exist and serves no linguistic function. i support anyone's desire to do whatever they want so long as it's not hurting anyone, but there are always going to be words that accurately describe what they're doing and ones that don't.
