one thing i love about will and halt’s relationship is that their father/son dynamic is never explicitly said to one another, but literally every single character in the series sees them and goes“mmmm yeah that’s a dad and his son”

Maddie and Ingrid love making clothes together.

Gilan loves bees.

Horace and Maddie hate olives. Cassandra (and Ingrid) love them.

Halt is allergic to some trees.

Alyss is allergic to most flowers but loves them despite this. (Thankfully she’s not allergic to daisies, which are her favourite.)

George is absolutely, 100%, very much, allergic to grass.

Gilan’s comfort drink is hot chocolate.

Jenny’s comfort drink is water with fruits or something.

Alyss has always loved fireflies and as kids Will used to catch them for her.

Will is dyslexic.

Pauline’s sight has always suffered under chronic headaches. One days when they’re particularly bad, Halt will read the files to her so she can still get part of her work done.

Maddie is CONVINCED one of her legs is slightly shorter than the other.

Alyss’s skin always feels cold, even if she’s warm.

Crowley has an impressive collection of odd socks.

Gilan can’t sleep without the blowing of fresh wind through his room. For that reason, his windows are always open. As a kid, his mother used to scold him for it because he always kept catching colds.

Crowley likes to sit on the floor, everywhere and always, legs crossed.

Alyss likes to sit on the bed or on the couch.

Now that we’re - I’m - on the topic of relationships anyhow, has anyone ever imagined people’s reactions to Halt getting married?

During The Early Years, Halt becomes close friends with Crowley, David, Rodney, Duncan and all other Rangers. Sure, most of them probably felt that there was something going on between him and Pauline but they knew Halt and, well, he’s not really the type to open up about his feelings or be intimate, y’know? 

So how did he break the news them? Did he go to Crowley and Duncan and went like “yo I need a few days off cause I’m getting married”? Did he go to Arald and said “Pauline was wondering if the castle is free around *insert date* for our wedding”? 

What was the reaction of David and all Rangers and everyone else when they got their wedding invitations? Did they spat out their coffee? Did they just started laughing really hard randomly? Were they nodding their heads approvingly because they had seen it coming for years? What happened? I need to know

I’m pretty sure Halt did not say a THING about it. EVER.

Pauline broke the news to all of the friends oh and also the entire world. And then people that were around Halt daily would be like “Halt??? You didnt tell me you were married!” And he would shrug and say, “You didn’t ask.”

I support that headcanon for like, a full 99.9%. There’s just this 00.1% of me that refuses to believe that he said NOTHING. Idc that he’s grim and sarcastic, he was too close to for example Crowley to not be the one to tell him. I just find it hard to believe that there wasn’t this smallest bit of enthusiasm - after all, he was getting married to the woman he’d loved for years

That being said, how about Halt and Pauline going to the cabin and Will and Alyss are sitting there and they’re like “we’re getting married” and Will spats out his coffee and almost choked because he’s oblivious and Alyss like “damn finally”

Can I just say that I’ve seen this everywhere and it just feels like such an iconic thing to the fandom. It was one of the first fanarts I saw when I first joined the online fandom and it’s just beautiful, from the colors you used to the expressions on their faces, it’s just a generally pleasing artwork.

Why Ranger’s Apprentice Kingdom Names are awfully amazing

Araluen - The main kingdom. So far the only one that doesn’t have a pun in the name that I can see. It’s basically England.

Skandia - SCANDINAVIA. They’re basically vikings.

Temujai - This actually takes some historical knowledge. They almost conquered the world once, only stopped by good Araluen Rangers, and a bad plate of shrimp. They ride stocky horses, and use bows. Can someone say Mongols? And the name for it? The Mongol’s most well known ruler was Genghis Khan, who before taking that name was known as Temujin. TEMUJIN. 

The Scotti - Do I even need to say it? The people are the pun this time, as the country is called Picta.

Arridi - The place is a desert, a rather ARID place.

Hibernia - I don’t think I need to say this.

Nihon-Ja - Nihon is the Japanese word for Japan. They just took the Japanese Word for Japan and added a -Ja to it. That’s it.

I don’t know whether to hug Flanagan or slap him.
