Hello fans of Iron Lung and Project Hail Mary!

I have a question. Is there a tag or something for crossover fanart and stuff that ISN'T a ship? I do like looking at all the fun bloodymary content and ship art, but as someone who personally headcanons Grace as AroAce I would love to see art of Grace and Simon interacting in 100% platonic ways. I want to see them being buddies! Just best friends! No romantic/sexual attraction between the two at all!

I am not hating on the ship art. I think its really fun actually! But I feel that there isn't a whole lot of purely platonic relationships in media and fan spaces these days, and I really want to be able to see more! I myself am Demiromantic and Asexual (DemiAce?), and I want to see more representations of people just being good friends without any additional strings attached. Content like that makes me feel seen <3

So yeah. If anyone knows of any tags or something I can use to find platonic Iron Lung Project Hail Mary content, please share! And keep up the good work with the bloodymary content! You are all so talented and I do love seeing what you create :)

The fact that physical therapy is not a frontline treatment for chronic pain is a searing indictment of the global medical field.

Seriously. If you have chronic pain, limits on how much you can walk/move, or both go see a physical therapist.

I have had physical therapy ELIMINATE the following medical and pain problems, solely or in large part:

Lower back pain so severe I could at first not even walk to the bathroom (sciatic)

Foot pain whenever I walked (plantar fasciitis)

Three years of a fucked up ankle that was at times seriously impacting me

Pain when typing (carpal tunnel), at least twice

Widespread nerve damage that caused massive chronic pain and left me housebound for two years

The physical pain/fatigue/other results caused by having to recover from that kind level of pain and inactivity (cough being housebound) for so long

I try not to talk too much about my health on here, for a variety of reasons, but I am being newly reminded of how much basically every single person with chronic pain should be referred to physical therapy imho

If literally nothing else, because being in that much pain for that long causes a lot of inflammation and makes your body get stuck bracing and moving in ways that ALSO cause chronic pain, so that has to be addressed too.

If you don't have access to physical therapy, there are some really good resources, exercises, and videos online that can at least get you started (but be cautious if you can't get assessed in person), but I'm not qualified to vet or recommend any of those.

But if any of this sounds like it might help you, and you can go to physical therapy, please go to physical therapy.

It has been life-changing for me and has (in conjunction with other things) given me huge portions of my quality of life back.

I will say, if you have EDS, POTs, or Long Covid and/or ME/CFS, please for the love of god make sure your physical therapist is actually trained to help people with those conditions. I've only had one who really was equipped to help with my issues and every single other therapist ended up making me worse in the long run because they had no idea how to effectively treat me.

Physical Therapy is good and helpful, but make sure the person you're seeing knows what they're doing re: your conditions, and while feeling a little worse in the short term is normal, if it genuinely is making you worse stop going and find someone else.

I have fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue. I have just been seeing a physiotherapist for the last six months who is actually trained in pain science, and it's made an astounding difference. I've been seeing physios since I was a literal child due to my hypermobility (my mum was a physio, so when I had issues she knew where to take me), but the change between the care I used to get and the care I can get now that pain science has progressed is night and day.

However, if your physio subscribes to GET (Graded Exercise Therapy) and you have ME/CFS, find another physio. GET is deeply flawed and based on junk science, and is much more likely to cause lasting harm than help you.

I have chronic leg pain (currently undiagnosed). I have been working with my doctor to try and find out what the cause is. She referred me to a Spine and Pain specialist, and when I had that appointment I got chewed out for not going to see a physical therapist 😅

I am AuDHD, so I kept forgetting to make an appointment (plus my work schedule has me on the clock during the call center hours, so by the time I get home they're closed...) I only managed to get an appointment because I had to call in sick from work.

My appointment is next Tuesday, so we'll see how that goes!

Wii sports.

For handheld console, Pokémon Silver Version. The cartridge battery died so it couldn't save. I would just leave it on and plugged in for weeks on end. I made it all the way through a couple of the Kanto gym leaders before my gameboy rage quit and shut down. Nothing broke, it just decided it didn't wanna stay on anymore after 2 months of nonstop charging.

I still have the game (and my gameboy). i just havent picked it up for a long time since i got tired of having to replay the start of the game 20+ times.

i just had a stupid drawing idea and i need someone (me) to make it real.

I had a weird dream last night with Caine in it. I don't remember much but I know he was verrry anxious about being around people or something and he was trying so hard to make them smile. But he wasn't doing a very good job and he was panicking a lot. So I held his hand for basically the entire dream to help him calm down. It worked :3

Deltarune. I may have only played the first 2 chapters (so no spoilers plz), but playing it blind was such a phenomenal experience.

I guess Undertale would work for this question too. I already knew every route and option when I played, so it would have been amazing to experience it without knowing anything ahead of time.

And Caine (The Amazing Digital Circus), for desperately trying to make people happy, for being a people pleaser, for wanting to feel loved (while also feeling unlovable), for having massive meltdowns, for caring so so SO much what others think of me, for lashing out when upset (even though i don't actually want to hurt anyone), for making myself look small when sad/scared, and for trying to change myself to match what people want from me (personal examples: forcing myself to be quiet when i'm a naturally loud person, forcing myself to be still when people complain about my stimming, making efforts to take up as little physical space as possible, not sharing my thoughts/feelings because people get irritated when i do, etc.)

I honestly don't know. I've played quite a few games, but I don't know if any characters have resonated with me like that. Maybe Barry (Pokémon)? Being an AuDHD bean myself, I had quite a few neurodivergent friends growing up. None quite as energetic as Barry, but a few did get a bit close.

So far? None.

That being said, I really like to play Minecraft with cheats. It just makes things more fun sometimes (plus i hate losing my items when i die. it makes me sad). I like to boost my physical abilities just a touch to spice things up. I call it Superpowered Minecraft. Some people think that's boring or takes the fun out of it, but I play games for MY enjoyment. What other people think doesn't matter. They're not the one playing, they don't get to have an opinion.

I also like to emulate Pokémon using money cheats. It's kinda fun to roleplay a rich kid going out into the world to discover themself via their Pokémon journey. No other cheats are used, unless it's to catch/encounter specific pokémon in order to level up a little bit faster/build the ideal team for my character based on their personality and type preferences.
