Time for my yearly revamp of the girl! This time I'm combining a couple designs I had for her in the past to make a look that I feel really captures what I want for her.

i’m still learning anatomy myself so i wouldn’t use this as more than just a general tip but…. I am fascinated by speculative monster anatomy and this is something i discovered years ago and thought i would impart amongst my fellow monster enthusiasts :)

mind you, the second set of pectorals can look kind of funky so i understand aesthetically why people would prefer not to draw them but! if you are someone interested in anatomy, i think this is a thing people dont really think about when giving their OCs wings/extra limbs and i think it’s kind of neat!

If anything the animation here is too smooth and I think that’s what’s turning people off. It’s a reasonably high frame rate, more than you usually see on a conversation. When you see it done to talking scenes it can come across as uncanny. 

There’s a gif I wanted to put here from an anime I can’t remember the name of. I couldn’t find it, but for those familiar  its a girl speaking and the animation is super-smooth, as she’s commenting on how they’re using such expensive animation for such a mundane scene. Same kinda deal.

The movements are also very even and consistent, to the point they recall the look of Ralph Bakshi’s Lord of the Rings-era rotoscoping:
