Oh thank fuck there are others who think about how much they hate this song. The fact that I can remember being a very tiny child, and thinking I was just extremely germaphobic, partly because my parents and even sister loved to sing this song, and the sneeze part made me so uncomfortable.
To make it even worse, when they got to the "when somebody sneezed" part, they'd then punctuate it with a big fake "ACHOO". Every time I'd be extremely grossed out and upset. And somehow knowing that I had to fake act like I wasn't, because clearly there was something wrong with me if I was the odd one out about this.
