Protective clothing: The talismanic anting-anting vests of phillipino folk magic.  A mix of catholicism, pagan and animist beliefs in the rural mountains of the Phillipines is the origin of this mystical and fantastic piece of clothing. Covered in a range of symbols, codes, messages and esoteric imagery the vests are used as a preventive force for the wearer against witchcraft, sickness, accidents and similar dangers, as well as it functions as a talisman for good luck.
