summary; in which Satoru Gojo never got to see his child grow

SATORU GOJO, was many things. The strongest sorcerer, the strongest, the first sorcerer to be born with both the Limitless and the Six Eyes in the last four hundred years. A special grade, the honored one.

And yet, here he lay on the ground battered and bruised after the fight. He always knew that he'd never make it out alive from the battle with Sukuna. He never knew death would come so, soon. In the same month as his best friend, just a year apart. Maybe, it's just a cruel mockery. He'd done what he had to, he'd save his students. He knows he can leave it up to them. As his last moments dawned, upon him, the after effects of the fight finally settled in.

He wasn't able to breathe, the lungs failing the capacity to heave out breaths. Life flashed before his eyes.

That's what brought him to the memory of his child, the one who he never got to look after. The chains of the higher ups always prevented him to have a trip back at home. Being the strongest and yet never being able to bond with his child?

It wasn't he couldn't.

It was he can't.

He can remember it vividly, his child staying up till late to study god knows what mumbo jumbo which he never understood. Or trying to go into his shoji only to find him sleeping. Or out of the estate on some mission as usual.

Whenever his child would find him sleeping, they'd simply leave behind the drawing; while it wasn't much, just a few stick figure of him and them on a picnic. Sometimes Megumi included due to how often he'd take care of them.

... now, that his mind was growing hazy with the after effects of the battle. It's slowly shutting down, in a peaceful slumber. He could feel the consciousness slipping past like how water slips past the fingers, leaving drops.

The only thought that enters and registers. The last one is, “I am sorry.”

Sorry not to his students, higher ups, colleagues or so.

But sorry to his child, for they never got the love that they needed. Sorrow for him leaving so soon.

BELPHIE loves to take naps with you. He loves to pull you closer as he slumbers, an arm securing on to your waist as he sleeps. It gives him a sense of security. It made him feel sane, to know that you are with him, that your heart is beating.

And he never knew till when he got accustomed to it, he always had a hand onto your waist as he slept. The warmth that you would leave on the side of the bed or on the couch both of you were sprawled out.

If being honest, he never had the thought that you might not be there, that you might not be on the side of the bed both of you shared.

That one day, he'd be alone.

And, now it dawned to him that he was indeed alone. He stared at the spot the very place where you last lied down. There was no warmth of you, there was no scent of you.

In fact, there was no you, now.

And he didn't know what to do, all he could do was to stare at the place where you used to lie. The very place both of you shared your moments. The very place were you said your first love yous...and the very place you were last sighted.

ATHY has always loved flowers, they were vibrant and smelled beautiful.

And they could be used for any or all occasions, be it the one which fills you with depression or with joy, they all have their meanings, they all have their importance.

Purple hyacinths, however, had a very soft spot in her heart, a spot no one would ever take. Now, don't get her wrong - she is not depressed. Yes, she is in sorrow of losing a special one.

And that's you. She never really wanted to lose you, no in fact losing you was a flaw that she had made and a flaw which will haunt her until her last breath.

She loved to watch you smile and flutter, playing with her in a garden. When not everything was so complicated, when you were kids. When she did think of survival, she always did but was still a child.

Back when she thought that everything would be fine—

But now, was it that she had forgotten reality? Perhaps, it soon dawned to her that you are a noble, that's true. But a noble that was not of that high status and that you cannot be with the princess. It hurt her when she wasn't able to help you when your father was indebted.

It hurt her when you had stopped coming to the palace, but it hurt her worse when when you seemed to ignore her.

And as much as she wanted to reach out to you, she never did. Always thinking that this might be the best for you and her, that she puts you into less danger.

It wasn't that you weren't always ignoring her, you had to treat the princess with the utmost respect but she wanted you back, the you which was her friend.

But, then again what is the point now? Both of you at least speak and meetup even though she knows that you tolerate it. And to be honest, she understands why you may despise her. She truly does but her heart aches.

And that's why she always sends you purple hyacinths, to let you know that she's sorry. That she cannot forgive herself for she pushed her only friend away and that things might have been different.

they love to dance with you in empty large ballrooms, holding on to your waist as both of you danced. twirling or simply moving around the room in nightgowns or the lavish gowns.

the laughter echoing and making their heart flutter, they could felt their heart burst any moment. it was not that they wanted to keep you secret or such, they just wanted a few private moments to themselves with you.

not that you didn't have time, yes you did but always being with some people hanging around made them feel annoyed. it kept them from sharing those precious moments with you and they hated it.

so they would dance with you in empty ballrooms under moonlight.

they would trade the world for your laughter, for your happiness.

BEEL hates the fact that you think you are not that lovable (is that even a word? he doesn't truly care-). He wonders why you can't see yourself from his eyes.

He understands why you hate being a mortal, the fact that you might perish and that your time is limited but so is his. It's just that he has a longer span of life rather than you.

And he knows your time with him might be short, but that's alright, darling. He knows you will not make it to the end of his life, but he will always rely on those sweet memories he has. Not because you are one of the fewer humans he interacted with but because you were his favorite.

BEEL always makes sure that he keeps some food for you. You have to eat, after all. Sure, he might be a demon that too Avatar of Gluttony but he has to make sure that you eat rather than overworking yourself.

There's always a plate kept for you in the fridge, and that's for you and only you to eat. You are a human and you can't go long without food, it will weaken you and that's the last thing that he wants.

He is well aware that you can take care of yourself, that you can pull yourself up but what if one day you can't? What if one day something bad happens? What if-

And so he places a plate of food for you. So, you take care of yourself.

He even drops a few snacks in your jacket or hoodie with small little notes and sometimes it's a little rushed but that's fine. As long as you are fine.

HELIO dies for affection, he loved the intimacy both of you had. It was like an invisible string between both of you, no words exchanged but knowing what the later always needed.

And to be honest, he would ditch everything in the world for you. Not because you were like Medea, but mostly because he cared about you. He loved you for being yourself, that's what made you unique to him.

The absolute best? It was when there was rain and both of you snuggled onto his bed. Lying there in silence - the peace in the room would soothe both of you. The thunder rumbling as both you held hands. The slight shifting in the bed to keep a hand on his chest, assuring yourself, that your Helio is there.

That he is alive, that he's fine, that you are by his side. That his heart was beating.

And that's all mattered. Him being with you, cradling you in his arms as both of you lied down.

It hits him then that you are one of the rare people who love him no matter what. Even ready to go ahead and die for him.

And he tightens his arms around your body. He'll be damned if he loses you. He will make sure that you will be protected at all costs.

Because he knows you love him no matter what. That the affection that you provide him is not manipulation, it's genuine love.

You fell head over heels for Izuku a little too hard, then you'd like to admit.

And now it hurts- it fucking hurts when he's not the same person as he used to be.

Not the Izuku you once knew, he's now a Pro Hero or should you say, Deku? Justice above all, people before all.

It has always been his nature, you know that well enough too. In fact that might be the thing which pulled you towards him more, the fact that he wanted to get people justice. And had a spine for that too.

...but now?

You clutched his hoodie as you sat, tears threatening to spill, not that you cared. It didn't matter anymore.

It was not like you didn't want him to be the Symbol of Peace, it was not like you didn't want him to be a Pro Hero.

The one thing that you ever wanted was to have him with you. To love you.

And you do know, that your quirks are not match with his, that you didn't write any history. That you'd always be a minor Hero, nothing more but it hurts.

It made you wonder, that was it the same Izuku that you loved? He was the role model of every child, a hero that a person admires so much.

But he also didn't reply to any of your calls, to any of your texts. The replies were always late, with some excuse or the other. And that made you wonder, did he even love you?

They have such a high pride that they can never humble down. Never being humble enough to say 'I love yous' always keeping you a secret. Always.

And they hate it so much, they fucking do. They want to hold you in their arms as they gently soothe you. They want to speak to you, they want to -

but they can never. Always afraid that one step wrong and that they might lose their position and such or worse, be seen as weak. After all, they have to maintain a reputation. They have to work endless, even if it means pushing everyone away they hold dear, pushing you away too.

They are hurt, but they never seem to take a notice of that. They want to say that they are also sorry, they too want to cry. But can't, they simply can't the tears don't roll out. All they feel is a void and emptiness they can't explain and just wish that people noticed that.

After all they too are a living being.

And now they are struck with grief of never stopping you from leaving. Now, they question, whether their pride matters or not? Whether they have to do what everyone expects of them. Whether they have to bury their feelings or not-

Whether, they can be themselves or not? Whether they can be honest with people or watch them leave.

But does it matter anymore? After all, all they have is their pride left. The only thing that they live for and their value of being useful.

SATAN doesn't understand why mortals can't live forever, why they have to scummb to their demise. Not that he cares about humanity except for a certain one.

The time when the brother got to know that you are a human - a mere mortal who can't exist after a certain period of time, it broke them. And it broke Satan the most, he knows you belong to future. He knows you will die.

And he knows how he will crumble. He knows that the future him and the current would try to get you back, and that's exactly what he was doing. Looking for a way to make a human immortal, so that they always exist.

So that you are by his side.

He cares a lot about you, don't get him wrong. He doesn't want to lose you, because you showed him love. Your gazes, praise, everything. Before you, he only knew rage - wrath. An emotion which consumed him whole.

And he knows that you are not the only person who loves him but no one can take your place. The way you'd ruffle his hair, the way you'd sing to him. The way you would hug him.

That's also why he has distanced himself, to make sure that he doesn't suffer. And now his heart aches for your touch and voice. For your kind and gentle eyes. For you. He may seem to be brittle but he knows, he'd die for you in secret.
