OK, since I'm in a sleep deprived mood, I am just going to spout my INFINITE/SM feelings. It's been about a year since Woollim announced that they will be merging with SM C&C for GLOBAL promotion. Remember how sad INFINITE was our first OGS? They cried on stage because Inspirits were upset about. Infinite was upset. Inspirits were upset, it was a rough time for us all. We were reassured time and time again that Woollim would still be Woollim, INFINITE still INFINITE and SM still SM with the companies not intertwining. Yet, we all had sneaking suspicion that may not be true. Tasty began promoting with SM artists, INFINITE popped up SM's Official Line, their pictures had SM logo on the bottom, they had an SM calendar, etc. I was never really comfortable with this idea, as I knew it would lead to more. Don't get me wrong, this has NOTHING to do with SM artists. I know SHINee and INFINITE are close, and I think their other artists have a lot of talent. This is about INFINITE alone, and SM's management style. Speaking of SHINee when ToHeart debuted I knew things had shifted. "INFINITE will not work with SM Artists," yet here it was. A merge. A peace offering from SM and Woollim. They knew and everyone knew Key and Woohyun were friends, and thought this would be a way to ease the company together. I liked ToHeart, I did. It was fun and joyous, and everything Woohyun, just don't try and tell me this was all brought up between the friends and not through the management AT ALL. And that brings us to today. It had been posted about a concert in Hong Kong featuring SM Artists, INFINITE on the lineup. Yes, I understand that SM C&C is suppose to help promote them and promote them globally, but why doesn't it say "SM and Woollim Artists"? It's not as if Woollim is no longer around, though it sure as hell seems like that's what they want. And speaking of SM C&C exactly what are they doing to help promote OUR BOYS? Sales and streams are uncharacteristically low for "Last Romeo," lower than "Destiny," and "Man in Love" which INFINITE and Woollim did on their own. Anyways, the whole point of this rant is that we have supported INFINITE for so long. We supported them in their CEO's home, we supported them, we supported them in a one room dorm, and we supported them during their first win, when they won against other huge companies. We didn't need a huge promotion from a KPOP giant. So don't for one second think about belittling our boys, Sunggyu, Woohyun, Sungyeol, Myungsoo, Hoya, Dongwoo, and Sungjong, hard work and pure ambition by placing them with other companies without acknowledgment. INFINITE is definitely not a rookie group anymore, and should not be treated as such. //end rant. //Protective Inspirit
