i lowkey feel like we don't give connie enough love. she kind of taught steven how to care for and support all the gems with how he brought her out of her shell and became his friend. she went on crazy adventures with him she knew were kinda crazy and dangerous, but trusted him because they cared for each other and would do anything to protect each other. she stood up for what she wanted to do to her parents, no matter how weird it sounded to them. she was literally steven's knight, not just in the sense of fighting for him with a sword but in the sense that she looked after him when he needed it and called him out when he did dumb stuff. she was basically his link to humanity that he desperately needed through all the gem and homeworld shenanigans. and ofc you have the way she literally saved his life twice. best girl fr

one thing i love about pink is that she's well and truly a character for the youngest children. like, her role as the youngest is something that's actually central to, and deeply impacts her character. her experience of growing and changing yet still being seen as that same immature girl by her entire family, who almost need her to keep being the baby. because without a baby, how are they going to keep playing house? she's meant to be the one who's too little to see that anything is wrong. the one who's too little to hold grudges. the one who's too little to leave. but she does. and not once have i ever hated her for that.
