4.It was in a position that made it clear that it was most likely hurt from hitting my house and not just sick. It’s warming up in my area and they are just coming out from the winter and it was most likely confused because I live right next to the highway and there’s a lot of noise.

5.You can only get rabies from a bat by being bitten or otherwise getting its saliva in your bloodstream. And it was two inches long and I’m a grown ass adult with a towel and gardening gloves and a thick ass sweater.

I’m sorry I got so defensive. I’ve seen a lot of bats killed in my area because people are misinformed about the rabies situation. I used to play with them as a kid by throwing sticks in the air and watching them swoop to get them and each year they were noticably fewer until they were just gone.

Here’s a thing I have to say about good intentioned men. Even if a man trying to hang out is being 100% honest about his intentions not being romantic or sexual, even if he’s a really genuinely kind man, even if his core beliefs are pure and good and genuine, you’re STILL allowed to want nothing to do with him.

The bar for men is really low in regards to both friendships and relationships with women. If you two don’t vibe on anything at all besides that he’s a good person, you literally don’t have to date or even hang out with him. You don’t need to indulge him at all.

A lot of women seek out men, both for relationships and for romance, who are good and kind. Everybody should be good and kind. That’s the lowest bar. It’s important because if we dehumanize them we create a level of separation between us and them. There is a very simple set of brain equations involved when we dehumanize the enemy, and it goes something like this:

“Nazis are monsters” “I would not be friends with a monster” The CORRECT conclusion is “I cannot be friends with Nazis” BUT PEOPLE KEEP BELIEVING THE COROLLARY “None of my friends are Nazis” “…even that one guy who keeps posting ‘ironic’ Pepe memes, who never really grew out of his 4Chan /pol/ phase, and who keeps trying to have really intense conversations with me about ‘globalists’. But he’s my friend! I’ve known him forever! He doesn’t REALLY believe any of that stuff. He’s just kind of an asshole, and we love him anyway.” This is a very bad corollary. About a week later I logged back on with 17 messages in my ask, most of them from the anon. I scrolled down and at first when I logged off, the anon messaged me things like
