hey so I've been thinking

Treasure technically should have their memories wiped out. They're unempowered and Porter asked them if they wanted to, they said no, all that stuff. But technically, they are not of the informed unempowered status.

So what if, they don't get turned but they will get their memories wiped?? As they technically should in the first place? I'm not saying that D.U.M.P will take them, that would be silly, but what if whoever is the threat, takes them and instead of having Lovely 2.0, they won't be drained or turned while dying, they will just lose every single memory of the new life Porter offered them.

that, somehow, stings worse than just being a vampire. Imagine the last thing they see is a face of their kidnapper and the next time they open their eyes, instead of their saviour, the knight in shining armour who would sacrifice everything for them, they see a complete stranger and his name rings no bell.

Crazy theory but what if the Sovereigns were never messing with the actual future to pre-determine Bestie's death. What if they were just messing with Blake's visions /sight? Feel like it would be a lot easier to influence and make sense on why he could never change it. he's literally the only reason they keep dying

I made a comment on this a week ago!! I think Willam and Porter will have treasure moved away from dahlia for a few weeks. David and the rest of the pack can protect angel and babe pretty well as seen when quinn was an issue; but with treasure theyre much more at risk especially because porter is one of the main antagonists thats caused this. Porter is going to be busy with the clan given hes one of the only members left, so he realistically cant watch both the clan and treasure unless they move in with willam (in what i assume is a big ass house he owns) which then also puts treasure much closer to the danger. Its a win, lose. But if they move treasure away from dahlia it greatly decreases their risk of getting hurt or being used as a pawn

🦇 what i think magical blood smells and tastes like to vampires

i have been thinking a lot about latency lately as i work on my redacted ocs, mostly the fact that vince notices such a strong scent from lovely when they first met. i love to think that depending on someone's magical affinity, their blood smells just a bit different, and could be a general tell for what someone's powers might be if they have yet to flourish. i imagine it's present in non-latent people too, but the longer you go without using magic [intentionally or otherwise] the flavor gets stronger. so without further ado, here's what notes i think would be present in empowered blood!

🌿 earth elementals are earthy. mushrooms, basil, and geosmin.

🔥 fire elementals are warm and spiced. cinnamon, nutmeg, and cardamom.

💦 water elementals are refreshing. the feeling of drinking cold water and petrichor.

🌬️ air elementals are light and airy. meringue, marshmallows, and angel food cake

⚙️ contra-earth elementals are minerally. granite, quartz, and salt.

❄️ contra-fire elementals are cool, minty menthol and ice chip candy.

🧽 contra-water elementals are dry. vermouth, brut wine, and ciabatta.

🫙 contra-air elementals are dense. pound cake, ube, and brie.

⚡ electro energetics are sharp. aged white cheddar, vinegar, and pickled peperoncini

🧲 magneton energetics are heavily metallic. zinc, copper, and so much iron.

⚖️ graviton energetics are rich. dark chocolate, cherries, wine, and buttercream.

💽 sonal energetics are numbing. lidocaine, eucalyptus, and pineapple.

🔎 stealths are bitter. coffee, cranberries, green tea, and grapefruit.

💭 dreamwalkers are relaxing. lavender, jasmine, and chamomile.

🛡️ warders are dull and muted. white rice, oatmeal, and russets.

🌀 illusories are sparkling. champagne, seltzer, and tonic water.

✨ psychokinetics are sour. lemons, rhubarb, and sauerkraut.

🧠 telepaths are sweet. candy, syrups, sugar cookies, and royal icing.

🐾 shifters are gamey. deer, elk, bear, still umami but very lean.

🔮 seers are bitter almost like stealths, but bitter like almonds and cyanide.

🩸 vampires are overwhelming. alcohol and ambrosia, addictive as soon as it hits the tongue.

🦋 freelancers combine all the best of every flavor - besides vampire and seer blood - into one. with personal preference and skill, one flavor can become more prominent than the others.

🩹 healers are salty. since it's learnable and not an affinity at birth, it serves only to deepen and enhance the existing flavor.
