So recently I started to like 3d work.. ofc I still love and will draw 2d no matter what but like.. you can just grab the game model, just yoink. And do absolutely beautiful stupid stuff with it.

chat i'm having revelations at like 3am i think Eido/Riliks is a coping mechanism.

Like, there's two tapes from her you can find, both of which basically talk about how she's just overwhelmed with her life at home - Misraaks is still very unwell after the curse of Nezarec situation. She went to Tharsis to try to escape the stresses of home, only to find herself in the middle of a literal massacre, and the person who recruited her to go out there to begin with literally up and ditching her during it without a word.

Her worldview is shifting rather significantly - She's acknowledged her naivety has wounded her and she can't be the same Eido she once was, has openly admitted her faith has been shaken by past events, and she can no longer willingly submit herself to a higher power like the Light and the Traveller and wait for things to happen as the solution. She has to do something.

Meanwhile, Riliks' entire deal is about freedom. No Houses, no Kells, no Archons, no hierarchies, no Great Machine. Literally advocating for Eliksni making their own fates, with total freedom from everything that usually binds someone of their kind. That kind of lifestyle has to look incredibly appealing to someone who is incredibly volatile and vulnerable at that current moment - Regardless of who Riliks is, that's got to have a significant draw for her, as it's exactly what she came out to Tharsis to find, even if only temporarily. Is it any wonder the two seem to have hit it off?

She does also admit she knows she can't stop herself from getting hurt, but she wants to try and see people for who they are more easily. I wonder how that will play into her time with Riliks, should anything come of it.

Realized that I didn't draw him in a suit in the ordinary form(?), but these are just other colors. Wasn't sure if I need to change it more. To add the cloth from the original or other. I'm bad at designing clothes. Still, he has his Taken elements in both

I took skin and chitin details on the shoulders from the Lucent Hive (again as my favorite according to the amount of details they have (belly too but I already said abt it in other post/s)). Other Hive had a simpler skin and… I want to draw that anatomy more strangely as it is if I have a moment to add these details, if not too tired and if it's possible for my skills with understanding.

Actually, I wanted to make a list of refs for myself with Oryx so I won't open a lot of files and jump between them. But it's only about how I draw him and not canon in some parts. Wasn't sure if I need to post it if I will get to this and finish it ever Of course, I still would be not sure in some parts and how to depict them perfectly in other pieces, so they may change and change.

It's about another post with him: I wouldn't think that someone would be thankful for my canon/oc arts so they may feel braver to post their canon/oc (because I'm myself very worried and at the same time idk how I'm doing these things. Still, I'm not that brave to post suggestive Banshee/oc things. They could be highly suggestive). This is very heartwarming to hear aww But somehow I didn't feel that much awkward about my Oryx/oc sketches, but I think in one sketch I would crop a highly suggestive part and post the original only on Bsky if I "finish" it. I thought it could be too much for Tumblr rules
