The problem with the idea of the soul is, how does it get through doors? Your body goes in and then there's this weird transition and then you're on the other side of the door and like ... does your soul just *know* to move to your new location? Does it stay behind and they have to send a new soul down? Is this the origin of the door ghost epidemic?

You can't separate the concept of self from which side of the door you're on without opening the door to the possibility of opening the door to find an identical version of yourself on the other side that's already you because the only difference between them and you is that they're on the other side of the door and that's irrelevant (if you separate the concept of the self from which side of the door you're on) to the concept of the self!

Historical Painting Vandalized

Sad news in the art world today as Ari Bach's 2021 painting "Two Trucks Having Sex" was covered in pink paint by a vehicular-intimacy-negative vandal.

"This is an affront to artists everywhere," said Musee de L'Camion spokesman Lécheur d'Voiture, "Just thinking about it makes my muscles involuntarily flex."

The original work by Bach depicted two trucks, a semi and a pickup, in the midst of a romantic episode. According to automotive sexuality expert J.G. Ballard, "These two beautiful murder machines, these American angels in the sky, were the first trucks ever depicted in coitu. Apparently the passion was more than the vandal could withstand."

Restoration efforts are already under way at the museum and are planned to continue into 2023. The original uncensored artwork can be seen below, CW for hot truck intercourse.

You know, when I've remarked that a lot of the responses to my posts feel like people are just plucking out keywords they think they recognise based on the shape of them and replying to what they imagine the post says based on that, the possibility never occurred to me that this is actually how many American schools are currently teaching kids to read.

Like, my assumption this whole time has been that when folks go "I misunderstood this post that says [thing] as saying [unrelated thing] because I mistook [word] for [completely different word that happens to start with the same letter]", that was a bit. What do you mean they're teaching kids a reading method that's tailored to produce this exact error?
